Could someone please explain to me how I can work out trifecta divs. I assume if a Trifecta pool was $150,000 and the dividend is $10,000 then there were only 15 winning units. Is this how it works???

Check out a program from http://www.racingandsports.com.au called Betmaster whereby you can use newspaper odds or TAB prices to get the various odds depending on the various combinations of your selections, its a very sophistocated programm, you`ll be impressed how close the final dividends are, even using the newspaper prices.works best on races 7-9 runners ,(greater strike rate).

Ignoring the TAB cut, you are correct.
If the available pool was $150000, and there was one winner with a 50c unit the dividend would be $300000.
