a question for you pro guys (or at least those making a consistent profit from the game)...
Where do you find best for placing bets? I mean the best odds overall. Please discuss your observations of the various "vendors": e.g. TAB, on-course bookies, and online bookies.
each has its pros and cons - while the on-course bookies offer fixed-price odds, these odds are consistently worse than TAB's and one is frequently better off putting money with the TAB in spite of the uncertainty in the final price. (unless betting hundreds of thousands of dollars on one horse, in which case TAB is out of the question, but then that's gambling not business)
the online bookies seem very lucrative, most of them offer "best fluctuation" or "SP guarantee", but there're the confidence issues of "what's the catch", "is my money safe", "what if there's a dispute".
