Well done with Haunts. A long time between drinks for your tips though. Doesn't that get frustrating?

Hi Sportznut,
I'm afraid it is, that is one of the first things I said in my first post. I look at it as a fishing excercise, you get a lot of little nibbles, some small fish and ocassionally hopefully land the BIG!One.
Like to-day, the result puts us back on even
keal ready to cast out again. Trying to land the big ones is not easy, they are not readily identifiable/or in the vicinity on a daily basis. The frustrating part is not knowing which day/meeting or race they will appear. But believe me they do. We just have to have the patience and persistence to collar them.
Hope your day was fruitful also

I have a couple of longshot systems that I use just for fun with $1 bets. They've picked a few long priced winners lately including Black Martini in Perth on Saturday and Big Doug at Wellington on Monday. I would never be game to put a lot of money on them though because you can go a really long time between winners and I prefer a much higher winning strike rate.
By the way, what constitutes being under the odds? Is it less than $7 on the TAB at jump time???

Unfunny Phil,
No, I certainly didn't have those last 3 winners yesterday. They were 3 of the worst results for me. Feel free to have a look at my tips which I posted yesterday on the Horse Racing Forum.

Okay, I've come to realise that it doesn't look very good to come on here and talk about winners that I've backed. Obviously it must look like I'm bragging or something. I'm very sorry about that. Anyway, I promise that in future I won't talk about any winners I might have unless I've posted them on here before the event for all to see.

Hi All,
It seems to me that maybe I came on the wrong forum.I Didn't preport to have an end-all (*system*) of selecting winners.
There seems to be rather a strong tendancy for "others" to bite!!!!!
I said if you care to re-read my first post(25/05/04) that I had done some research over a short period of time, that appeared on face value to have some merit. I did also state that there would be frustrating times (Long-outs) that patience would be required. Unfortunately my selection process does not allow (currently) for a winner every other race. I mearly state that on past results there is every reason to believe the future looks bright. i.e that each month will turn a profit. Time will tell. However if my being on the forum is going to cause axnt amonst you all I will desist.
Good luck - good punting I hope all in your own way are fruitfull in all you aspire.

I don't think anyone was having a go at you. I think the jibes were directed at me.

I’m sure you’re an innocent bystander Go-Long caught up in another edition of Pro-Punter Uncut! Surely this forum (or at least some of the leading characters) must be overdue for an Grammy or an Oscar!

Hi Sportznut/Rogan Josh,
Thankyou, I would have thought that all avid formites could find a more suitable ends to their talents. I am sure that if they put their heads to-gether they would come up with a system to beat all systems.
I think it is much better to give credit where credit is due. We would all like the have the winners others have, but miss them for whatever reason. We are all trying to attain the "pot of gold" in our own way, if what we do helps others along the way then that can only be good for all. I know on occassions if information is too good then profit margins will recede, that is why I have decided to try for the more outlandish returns which will give all a fair crack without diminishing profits greatly.Be positive, be contructive, be fruitful and be happy.
Good luck - good punting
