Not too bad a field peanutz. After all it's the Ipswich Cup day party mode that's most important.

I gotta be on my mate here unless he draws a shocker of a barrier which he seems to do alot in races he can win he will go close in this. He is the best stayer in the race but the weight might get to him late time will tell.
From what I have seen of Raw this time in he has been running aswell as he has for awhile finished just 3 lengths behind Thorn Park and Britts Best in earlier sprint races and spotted Western Brace about 15 or so lengths the other day to be beaten just about 2 so his form is pretty damn good right now.

Runs since spell have been extremely good IMO Raw Instinct. Ready to run a big race!
Raw instinct has been jumping out of the ground...headed for the Caloundra cup i heard..
Lord Erin should have won by a mile last start check the video..i had my kids on him that day..

Lord Erin is a great each way hope with only 53kg. He has been very unlucky this prep and was second to gold wells in a group 2 at flemington over 1600 earlier this year, is a very good stayer and will be extremely hard to beat.

Bad barrier and the weight told in the end the tight track and being asked to go forward as early as he did put an end to any hope going to be hard for him to win a race anywhere now cause they weight him out of it in Queensland and New South Wales.
i didin't see the race but listening to it ..it sounded like he started his run way earlier than usual..i know Byrne knows Ipswich better than most but it sounded alittle strange..was he wide in running ??
i hope he pulls up ok for the Caloundra Cup.

Byrne did seem to stoke him up pretty early about the 700 or so he got moving on him with the weight he had he was always going to have trouble finishing off the race.
He had him stoked up coming out the gates aswell trying to get a position early he got there but faced the risk of getting posted wide so had to snag him back given a better run he would have gotten closer.
He did look as though he was a run short parading before the race to to be honest I would say the Coloundra Cup is still right on target.
The Caloundra cup was always the target i'd heard so he should be right on top..drops a bit of weight to,,Bazelle looks good in that race as well...

Portland Singa & Motivate also lining up for the Caloundra Cup.
Have some doubts about the extra trip for Raw Instinct. Your thoughts Raw Instinct / Maverick.
Raw Instinct

I think he will be able to run it he carried 58.5 kgs in the Australia Day cup when beaten by a kneck by Terrific Taurus and Republic I think it was and conceding both of them about 5 kgs. That was over 2400m when he is fully wound up and ready to go he will not have any trouble running this out it is a matter of whether he is ready for Coloundra Cup is if they may just have something else they might be looking at aswell.
i think he can run it out but worry his last run might of taken a bit out of him..will hope he gets a good barrier and can take a sit..
How did he look after the Race ??

On past form PORTLAND SINGA should be OK with the extra distance. Not sure about MOTIVATE, he did run on well on Sat. But assuming RAW INSTINCT meets PORTLAND SINGA better at the weights in the Coloundra Cup, I’d be leaning towards RAW INSTINCT to turn the tables and take out back-to-back Caloundra Cups.
