I still think it's ridiculous that NRL teams are robbed of their State players at this time of year. I know that S.O.O is important, but it's not everything. I don't know why they can't organise it better so that NRL teams aren't weakened.

The round before s.o.o 1
R11
STGEORGE [A] 37 EELS 6
STORM [H] 22 RAIDERS 18
PANTHERS [A] 22 COWBOYS 18
W/TIGERS 30 BULLDOGS 26 [NEUTRAL]

KNIGHTS,BRONCOS,ROOSTERS [BYE]

players missing to origin:
saints 3,eels 1
storm 2,raiders 1
panthers 6, cowboys 3
w/tigers 1, bulldogs 4

The round before s.o.o 2
R14
STGEORGE 28 [A] PANTHERS 8
COWBOYS 30 [H] KNIGHTS 6
SOUTHS 28 [H] STORM 26

ROOSTERS,BRONCOS, BULLDOGS [BYE]

players missing to origin:
panthers 5, saints 0
cowboys 3, knights 3
storm 2

These teams had the most players out , except teams with a bye, thats why i stay clear of the round before origin or bet around the games that have a few out, but betting in a round after the origin is a goldmine.

R17 before origin 3

players missing to origin:
storm 2, panthers 4
w/tigers 1
roosters 6, cowboys 3
eels 1
knights 2
broncos 5
bulldogs 4

saints have the bye- 6 players in which makes it a little easier, but i'll wait until saturday to see if i have a bet or not.

The last 2 weeks results have made me do some more testing on my system. Have tested NRL, where it has gone 199-140 during the 02-04 seasons. Haven't tested AFL yet.

Interestingly enough, the bets that performaned best were those where my predicted spread was way off what the bookies had.

I found out today penrith were 10-0 early on in the game...what happened?

They had most of the ball early, with the storm making mistakes and a few penaltys there way, then the opposite happened with the storm having nearly all the ball after that. Penrith had about 8 or 9 players out and they lacked direction.

When Melbourne get on a roll in a night match at Olympic Park, they can destroy any team in the comp. That's what happened last night. It was only 18-10 at half time, but they just ran riot in the 2nd half.

Penrith are just not the same team without Gower and Girdler.

I was being kind to them as they had a lot of players missing, other wise i'd put the boot into them, the storm have always been the quickest scoring team in the comp and are nearly unbeatable down there.Away they are 20 pts inferior team.

I don't agree Goldmember. 20 points is a massive difference. If last nights match was played over and over again I'm sure the average scoreline would be closer.

Also 8-9 players out? How?

They've got a few stepping up to SOO, do they seriously have 4-5 out injured?

Yes. And most importantly, Gower is out. As I said, they're just not the same team without him.
