It seems Horsey9 wants his million back from out of Primo's hide.So hide Primo did.
Can imagine the weather on your tropical island with that pretty name.
It's cold and wet here and also my clubs are right-handed and my boy is a lefty.
Gotta win some bucks to get him a set.
So anyway I've just been bitten by the Vibe and have gone to modify my multis.

Too much bullshit going on with St.Kilda this week.Gave them the arse and put in the Crows with a start.
Hawthorn players not back yet so took the Eagles to win.
Hirdies 200th game it seems.Lose?.Too inappropriate for the occasion.Best Bet.
And Collingwood,the great pretenders.

I'm down from $900 to $90 in my account.
About $400 or so tied up in St.Kilda making top 4 and Geelong making the eight.
This money not released until the finals.
Thought I might let this weeks futures slide.
This is the part of gambling that is my undoing.
Changing the rules midway or not having a big enough bank to see out the season.
Basically boils down to bank size.
To do what I need to have a crack,I need a larger betting bank. But I'm not financially well off to support a bigger bank.
I choose to invest $100 each week, but expected to have had a few collects by now.
Anyway.Tried another bank of $300 for this week and invested $110 on multis. The roll your own kind.

Go take the same multi only Essendon at 40 plus, for a dollar.

Took 3 multis with Geelong as an anchor at evens with a 1.5 point start.
Outlay was $110.
Basically I now have $220 riding on Essendon to win by over 25 points.
Sheesh.I wish I could lay off a bit somehow.
Yep I think multis are much easier to do than all ups.
I know very well if I was going all up,I would have chickened out now.
Maybe it says something about my nerves as a punter.
Or I must be betting beyond my means.
If Geelong went down,I would have accepted it.But if Essendon go down I will feel ill.
Maybe I should read my signature below a thousand times.

I am very excitement!
I come in to type when Essendon were 30 points in front.
Right now it is a 43 point lead coming up to 3/4 time.
I have -25.5 so it is a 18 point,Shit Richo just got one back. That is a 12 point lead for me and a quarter to go.
Go Bombers.
Go Rabbitz you good thing.
What price did you take the Bombers at the -35.5?
moeee
10th July 2004, 03:30 PM
Well now it's 38 point lead to Essendon gives me a 12 point buffer.
Had a 4 leg multi with the Eagles to win by over 1.5 points.
If fortune rides my way I will have about $350 riding on Adelaide with a 23 point start at about $1.65.
Gee.The more I type the bigger my buffer.
No more nervousness, only (hang on Lloydy another one),where was I.
50 point lead is a 4 goal buffer.
Well it looks like I'll be staying home tonight.
Thanks Rabbitz for your tip on Geelong belting the Lions in the wet.
6 for Richo.Come on siren.
Have I celebrated too soon.(red smiley here.)

Hey Rabbitz.
There's only one @ in @#$%.
Hey Goldmember.
It seems I got no more use for this rope anymore. You're quite welcome to it.
And Mr J.
Why,when you have a system and knowledge and experience and profits in a sport, would you go chasing a sport where you lack the knowledge and experience.
Wouldn't you be better off just doubling up your bets in your prifittable field?
Should have asked you this question about three months ago actually.
Cheers all - Mo.

Mo, I don't know what sport you're talking about.
To make it clear here are my records from 2002-2004 in both sports:
NRL 194-144
AFL 190-141
ie my system is just as good at AFL as it is at NRL.

because I went against my better judgement
and had multis with st george, collingwood involved they all lost so I put the remainder of the account(which wasnt much on Ess -35.5=$2.76 .So now I back in the hunt.I have a couple of small multis left and a big one
involving lions ,dees and port.
cheers

Oh ok rabbs, i only had 2 small multis with collingwood, because ive plunged on the NRL,stgeoge team points 11-20 last night @ $4.25 a good result, still got sharks and roosters try going in a multi @ $9.40 raiders to win and -10.5 roosters to win and -9.5 plus others going into bulldogs win and -5.5 and lions and port wins

What I mean is I believe you have been betting on NRL for some time but only a few months on AFL.
And if you were betting successfully on NRL,why would you dabble in AFL.

Well in terms of knowledge etc, rugby is my best sport (Super 12s). I know enough about NRL, and am learning about AFL.
I only started betting NRL and AFL about
5-6 weeks ago. I've been using my system since week 6 of the super 12s though.
I didn't 'dabble' in AFL. I just tried the system on AFL and NRL (ie tested it) and it worked. So why not bet it?
The system does not require me to have ANY knowledge of the sport. It just uses statistics I've collected and put into a database.
I never expected it to profit at AFL, but it does, and just as well as it does at NRL, so it's definately worth betting.
moeee
11th July 2004, 05:22 PM
Well, there's my knowledge.I thought NRL and rugby were the same.
Many nights I don't sleep well and just can't get turned on by either of them.
Gambling might be a business, but I like to bet on a sport that I get some sort of pleasure in watching.
Mr J
12th July 2004, 01:35 AM
By rugby I mean Super 12s.
Don't get me wrong Mo, I love sports. A bet on a game does make it exciting since it gives me a team to go for.
For me the enjoyment derived from watching a game I bet on is just a bonus from an invesment I make. The bets I make are done so in a strictly professional manner, but it doesn't mean I can't enjoy what I do
If I lose, it doesn't bother me. It's just one of many bets I make, and no individual bet is financially significant (in relation to my bankroll).
moeee
12th July 2004, 09:19 AM
Yeah,that's my problem.
My bets are a significant part of my bankroll.
And if you are betting, say 1% of your bank per bet,you must have a bankroll of about 100 grand.
In my situation,my total life savings is only about $12,000 and I'm not prepared to risk it.
I guess it must be wonderful to have real faith in your punting scheme.
If I ever crack my depressive personality,I might learn to be more confident and more focussed on my punting situation.
