Are there any form nuts out there ?? as in those who Study the horses form indepth , Barrier trials, training times ,steward reports and Video analysis ??
Wouldn't it be easier to play Keno or something if you're just going to play numbers.
I think its those who put in the long hours of form study that have the edge..I've learnt this the hard way.. since devoting more time to study i have continuosly been able to profit now for 4 months..
I don't beleive there is a quick and easy way to pick winners and there never will..
I'm only a young bloke and am fairly new to this but i hope to make this my living.
So am i a dying breed or is everyone else out there buying software programs or backing their fav colour or number system ?

For what it's worth, my advice first & foremost would be to learn your racing %. Take whichever way suits you best, form, numbers, jockeys, whatever, but first learn your %. Knowing when to bet is half the battle. Good luck.

Hi Maverick, certainly hope your not a dying breed as it’s certainly a more honest profession than lawyering, for example

Spending hour after hour doing the form, as I did & still do from time to time (only because I truly enjoy it), will only get you so far.

Every man & his dog now has all the info you & I have, & with ˝ a brain Lucky Phil could turn a quid if it came down to just ‘doing the form’.

Got to find that angle which both simplifies your task & returns you a winner, & that only comes from an understanding of the game – dare I say it again – form, weight & class. Just so happens there are horses & jockeys involved.
