I've been noticing how Hawthorn have been playing lately.
What you see is what you get.Sacked coach or not.
Fellow punters!.
Just keep putting it on the Kangaroos
and I'll see you in the winning queue.
And if turns out the Hawks have won
you can send me to the far one.

Hi, first time for me, however, I've been waiting for this week for months now, NOW is the time to back Richmond for the wooden spoon at the generous odds of $4, this was always on the cards regardless of sacked coach!

Backing a horse to come last!
Bit negative in your approach to gambling isn't it?

hi baloo
so what your saying is you expect
hawthorn to win 2 more games
and be ahead on percentage
they have the following games left
Kangaroos (a)
Melbourne (a)
Western Bulldogs (a)
Brisbane Lions (h)
Richmond (h)
Geelong (a)
So you would think winning chances would come from Western Bulldogs or Richmond
Can"t see them beating any of the others
Cheers

Hi moeee, u can see it as backing a team to come last, or you can see it as backing Tigers and Dogs to not. As for negative gambling, how's that? Isn't picking the Wodden Spooners the same as picking Minor Premiers? After all the object is to make money.

Hi rabbitz, yes I believe Hawks CAN beat Dogs and Tigers (whether they will want to and therfore miss out on priority draft picks is another matter!)Hawks have almost same % as Tigers with 2 less wins! Back Tigers for spoon now and if Roos beat Hawks (no guarantee) and Tigers WILL lose, then after next week when Melb WILL beat Hawks, back Tigers again, could be better odds than the $4 on offer now.

Baloo.
Gee.I'd hate to be at the ground, cheering every time Richmond makes an error and booing every time they kick straight.
Politically incorrect big time.
I suppose you could use your winnings to pay the hospital bills.

I've given up backing teams to get the wooden spoon, because I've never had much success with it. Believe me, I can back a team that looks a certainty to run last, and their form will improve dramatically overnight. Then of course, a couple of years ago I thought I was on a good thing with Souths to run last in the NRL and the Bulldogs salary cap drama put an end to that!!!

Pre-season, I would never have thought of Hawthorn OR Richmond running last. I would have probably backed the Western Bulldogs.

Floydyboy,

It wasn't a big bet, but it was still damn disappointing, because if not for the Bulldogs thing, it was a winner.

In today's Courier-Mail, a couple of tipsters have tried to work out exactly who's going to finish where in the NRL and they both had Manly finishing last. At the moment, they're 3rd favourites and look to be reasonable value, but given my previous lack of success with wooden spoon betting, I don't think I'll be touching it.

Hi moeee, u have left me confused again. Not pc? Since when has this been a pre-requiste for following footy?? And anyway, wouldn't half the crowd be doing just that at EVERY game? Barracking for their side and against the opposition?
Baloo.

Somewhere in back of my mind was a tennis game.Maybe Davis Cup.Australia versus Spain in Spain.About 4 years ago.The crowd were very ugly in the way they went about barracking the locals.
If your not familiar with the game,my apologies. Not really a tennis fan myself.

i.m with you baloo,i think moee is confused
every time jason akermanis got the ball last week the crowd booed, and everytime collingwood did something right(very rare I agree ) the crowd cheered. So I think you'd be ok cheering or booing richmond as long as werent wearing richmond colours, then they might call for the black and gold jacket with the buckles at the back.cheers
