An unfashionable jockey,yes.A bloody good bloke,yes.Keith was in the Malcolm Johnson mode,try to win at all costs,that's why he copped so many suspensions a la miracle mal.
He never made it to the dizzy heights that Miracle did,but he never got to ride for a Tommy Smith either.Keith had relocated to Townsville to try to resurrect his career,not wind it down.After coming back from yet another suspension,he was outed again.Police found him slumped in his car.He died broke and lonely.My heart bleeds .
R.I.P.old mate,gone but never forgotten.
