Geez, another Netball fan. I thought I'd probably be the only one on here.

I've just seen the Sportodds site. WOW!!! I didn't know any Australian bookies bet on the Netball.

30th July 2004, 03:27 PM
Kangaroos under 40 $2.40
Collingwood over 39 $3.15
$40 @ $7.55 equals $300 or so.

Collingwood over 39 $3.15
$60 equals $180 or so.

Is it possible to have a 1 legged Multi?
If not let me know and I'll edit this one.

Squirter,

Things are different in NZ. Netball is a mainstream sport over there and nobody would look at you funny if you admitted to being a Netball fan, but over here...

Having said that, things are changing slowly. I was amazed to find Sportodds betting on all the games, and tonight it looks like the World record will be set for the biggest ever Netball crowd.

Okay, brace yourselves. If it's good enough for Jakelee, then it's good enough for me. So as I can't find anything at all in the Football, I'm going to the Netball for my Multi bet tonight.

BET 1
Darters (WIN)
Thunderbirds (WIN)
Swifts (WIN)
$75 @ $1.78 ($133.50)

BET 2
Darters (-13.5)
Swifts (-10.5)
$25 @ $4 ($100)

I can just picture some of your totally bemused faces now! Actually, I really would have liked to include the first game as well as there was some great value there, but unfortunately that game has already started. (not that most of you would know)

Oh, and I'm up $150 after last week.

Well, so much for that. A couple of shock results and my bets bit the dust well and truly. It looks like it's back to the Football for me next week.

Yeah, well I managed to pick one of the rare occasions when there was a couple of upsets in the Netball. Seriously though, I really couldn't find anything that great in the Football as far as Multi betting is concerned. i wasn't confident enough of my Homedog selections to put them in a multi. I was thinking of simply having a double on Canterbury and Collingwood. I probably should have done that.

Chuck
31st July 2004, 07:30 AM
well i myself also tried a new method this week...all those teams that i thought would win well, i gave a very generous start at small odds, but had about 15 legs with $95.
The other multi i always throw in a nice longshot for $5...the first one still looks pretty good
Chuck

I saw what you did there Chuck. Some of those results must have been about $1.05!!!

Chuck
31st July 2004, 11:21 AM
yeah, the roosters were about that...and port adelaide...that is why i have so many legs...i just give the start of what i think the maximum upset will be
Chuck

sportznut
31st July 2004, 11:47 AM
Well, looking at those starts, it's a bit hard to work out how you can possibly lose. Then again, don't we often think that only to see an incredible upset spoil the party.

Chuck
31st July 2004, 12:41 PM
all you have to do is look at the sydney swifts yesterday...aint that right sportz

jakelee
3rd August 2004, 01:44 PM
Oh no!

Well, just when you think you've got two dead-set certianties in the bag, you get bitten on the ar$e.

I had multis and straight bets all over the shop with the Sydney Swifts and "Iron" Mike Tyson.

That'll teach me!

OK, so my multis are -$300 in the comp. More research needed next weekend
