Current odds ,top 5 price in brackets
TIGER WOODS $6.50 ($2.10)
Ernie Els $8 ($2.40)
Phil Mickelson $9 ($2.60)
Vijay Singh $10 ($2.80)
Retief Goosen $16($4)
Davis Love III $23 (5.40)
Robert Allenby $51 (11)
John Daly $71 (15)
Now the facts you need are
1.Good Bunker player (the course has 1400)
2.Good Wind Player (it apparently can blow quite a bit,its near Lake Michigan
3. I dont think any of the above will win
so look for value,I reckon take lots of small bets at double and triple figure odds
4. Or be like sportznutz and take the top two or three for the top 5(he does well at it,better than his netball bets.
5. Good luck you will need a lot of it
Cheers

My mathematics works out at 77 bunkers on each hole.
Now the course is either built on a beach or in the middle of the desert.
Which is it Rabbitz?

 I'll never live that down. Seriously, it's not a bad way to go with the Golf. Like that racing theory "Pick 'em to win, back 'em to place". I've had quite a bit of success backing players like Els and Mickelson to finish in the top 5 at the majors. The only time I've consistently bet for a win on the Golf was a couple of years ago when Tiger Woods was practically unbeatable. He was only $2.50-$3.50 in the betting but that was still a good bet.

i think tiger might finally break through his losing (or should i say "not winning") streak with the majors.
Other than that...watch maybe DiMarco or K.J.Choi at the odds, or maybe singh, scott or harrington a bit shorter

And you're right. By the looks of it, you'll have to be a GREAT wind player and a GREAT bunker player.

Okay Rabbitz, yeah I backed Els to finish in the top 5. Also had smaller bets on Singh and Mickelson to do the same and I backed Appleby for top Aussie.

They've all started okay, so here's hoping.
I guess Tiger can come back, but at this stage, I'm pretty glad I didn't back him.

Great win by Singh. He's been in such great form this year, he deserved the win.
In the end, I came pretty close to getting all 3 of my players in the top 5. (Mickelson made a bogey at the last and finished 6th). I ended up making a handy little profit on the tournament, but of course I could have done much better if I had backed Singh to win pre-tournament. If I had backed just one player to win on Thursday it would have been Ernie though.
