Do you have success following your own "stable"?

Does anyone have success from simply sticking with the same horse / s and backing them every run regardless?

If so, what criteria did you use for selcting your horse?

I remember years ago I noticed that horses trained and part owned by Bart Cummings used to get up at good odds from time to time.

dont follow any stable but i will be on elvestrom (always forget the spelling) every start this prep, & also northerly once/if he gets to melb.

although after all the recent discussions i should be LAYING them no?!

Northerly??? I really would like to see him come back to winning form, but I just can't see it happening. Hope he proves me wrong for your sake.

Hi davez, I wasn't asking if anyone follows a particular stable. Rather it was creating a "stable" of your own, all different trainers.

I have been toying with this idea for awhile now.
A good a place I reckon to start would be those horses listed on the newsletter from this site.
FUTURE WINNERS /UNLUCKY HORSES.
I also had a look at those horses listed on a couple of wt /time rating sites but the strike rate on their top listed horses (those at 15 - 18 points)were so appalling that I lost confidence in their ability to be able to spot anything let alone any type of future winner.

worth the risk as i could back him & lose at his next dozen starts & still be a mile in front on him - despite the injury there is do denying class sportznut!

ok, well ive always had the 2/3 horses i follow at any given time which is in addition to my 'other thing', and it has been worthwhile to do so most of the time & especially so when a goodun like northerly comes along paying decent odd all the way.
