I think we should see Grand Armee the only horse reach of the Steer on saturday...1300 not his strongest, but still seems alright

Could turn out a trickier race than first impression would suggest, due to the shortish (not ideal for a few of those nominated) race distance. O'Shea and Waterhouse look to hold the key at the moment but nominations have been extended. Inclusion of last years winner Fiery Venture adds interest as well, no doubt ready for another first-up tilt.

I've not rated Grand Armee or Private Steer in my top 2.

Likely leader might be hardest to beat in this race, perhaps Falkirk?

I might on FIERY VENTURE as he has bitten GRAND ARMEE before and with 2 Kg advantage. Only loose 2.5l in barrier tiral to GRAND ARMEE last week. Should be on track for this race.

Class will prevail IMO,with "the Steer"too good for this lot.Intend to hit the quin&exacta taking Osca Warrior to come 2nd,and the trifecta field 3rd.The small field will suit Osca, and Gwenda Markwell is a much better trainer than she is given credit for.Expect Beasley to lead, and my two to steam home over the top of them late. With the small field I will price my combinations & bet accordingly.

If Falkirk is going to measure up to its hype then it simply has to go very close to winning this I have been impressed with the horse at times and with O'shea in charge looks a huge a bonus to me.
