For any of you who didn't realise this he is racing today in NZ and this time Boss will ride him. I have not heard anything about him this time but it is probably the best quality race anywhere today.

Well he won but certainly not the same performance as he put in first up looked as if he was going to blow past them then he seemed to get lost (again) I will give credit to Miss Potential she did kick very strongly half way up the straight and at one stage it looked she might win but then the big chestnut put his mind back on the job and got it done.

He cannot afford to keep drifting off to dream land half way up the straight otherwise it will cost him eventually.

If he does that at the valley, he cant win the plate !

I just heard them say he was hit in the head by the barrier when it opened so maybe he wasn't day dreaming he was probably knocked out sounds like a likely excuse to me anyway

Well, i didn't think it was too bad. He did miss the start by a few after being hit - AND was 3-4 wide the WHOLE race, and he still came home strongly...a champion horse to mine

I think the most interesting thing to come out of todays race was the fact that for the second time in a row, Starcraft was the only horse able to run up to and eventually pass the two pacesetters.

Last time out in the Mudgeway his last 600 (33.64) was clearly the fastest for the race; and without knowing the exact times today, I would say he again ran the fastest last 600.

This is a very good horse!

I have been touting him as the best horse I have seen since the win in the Debonair and trust me that has not waivered at all.

I don't like the way Bossy rides the horse though I think he is using up to much of his unbelievable sprint to quickly if I owned the horse I wouldn't have him on it to be honest Leath Innes rode the horse the way he is supposed to be ridden not galloping him up at the 600 or 700 metre mark in a race 3 and 4 wide.

I amnot knocking Bossy there either really I will quite often back a horse because he is on it but sometimes on better horses he rides them overconfidently something he doesn't do with Private Steer he shouldn't be doing it with this horse either.
