Clinton McDonald stated earllier in the week that Regal Roller would be ridden back this weekend. Im sure he'll run well wherever he settles but WHY??? He's just won 2 g2's and a G1 in a row doing the exact same thing every start, the extra 200m shouldn't worry to much because the trainer thinks he'll go the 2000m of the Mckinnon. I think if he leads he wins, if he doesn't who knows. You might be able to chuck in that Sydney horse something Steer for the exacta.

Mr Ed:

Regal Roller's trainer probably doesn't think his horse will get the mile, because of breeding, mid-week training etc.. He is going to ride him back, most likley, because he doesn't want the horse to go flat out and run himself off his feet - potentionally ruining his good looking campaign. It will be interesting to see what happens

What another magnificant win by Regal Roller he was a moral once he hit the lead without using to much energy. Chuck you'll notice in my earlier post i wrote McDonald thought he would run 2000m thats why i said he shouldn't have a problem leading over 1600. Perhaps to the Cox Plate now, he will be unders in that however IMO.
