2 questions for moderators

It seems some topics are being posted because of boredom.
Could you please point out an example or two.So's I can get an idea as to what constitutes boring topics.
Also how is too much posting a bad thing?
I find it very dissappointing to return to the forum after about 8 hours and only find 3 or so new posts.Surely there is not an award for being the most prolific poster.
Oh.Is it better to post one long post or a few smaller posts to get ones ideas across?

We have a number of Moderators. We assume the Moderator probably meant something like avoid making "irrelevant or off-topic postings".

We welcome people coming to this forum to fill some spare time reading and making some good postings.
