In an earlier topic Kenchar stated

NOBODY can place a bet AFTER the jump.
A PRIVILIGED few can CANCEL a bet after the jump.

Excuse my ignorance but how and why can people cancel a bet after the jump. Surely this would be the key to the best system available.

Well here's a report from an obviously priveleged person.
The scanner at my local TAB interpreted my ticket as being marked at $5.50 units rather than the 50 cent unit.
The girl was busy by the time she got to my ticket machine the race was almost over.She rang up head office and cancelled the bet at my request.

Makes you think doesn't it.

Changes the Whole market if the bet cancelled is a large part of the pool.
