Farewell Johnny Warren

Sad news. Aussie Soccer legend and SBS commentator Johnny Warren has lost his battle with cancer. Will be missed.

that's such a tragedy. He was one of Australia's best football experts. It's a shame he couldn't have lived to see Australia reach the World Cup or see the new A-League.

This is hard for me to believe, since I was listening to him recently speak about football and he looked in ok shape, not healthy but this comes as a huge surprise to me.

R.I.P Johnny Warren.

He was on SBS just this last week, and while he certainly didn't look in wonderful shape, it's still hard to believe that just a few days later, he's gone. Yes, it would have been great if he could have been around to see us get to the World Cup again.

It is a tragedy to Australian Soccer and to my SBS weekends. JW was the best thing for Aussie soccer and he will just be sorely missed.
