They romped home. Andrew S was BRILLIANT with Bichel. Redbacks were tardy with the bat and with the ball with fielding being a SHOCKER.

4 runs from 2 balls to get the bonus point.
3 runs from 1 ball... Symonds on strike.
SYMONDS GOT THE 4 on the last ball to get bonus point.

30 runs from his last 8 balls for Symonds.

I watched about the last ten overs from each innings. Gotta say QLD where very impressive in getting the extra bonus point, 6 points from one game is a big boost.

QLD @ $1.55 was always going to be a very safe bet, what with SA not having done anything yet this year.

QLD should be a good bet in the Pura cup game against SA starting Tuesday too.

I agree. SA have a very young team.

I backed them at $1.60 today and you can get $1.65 for them in the 4-day game...

Gee they are handy odds considering what happened today. SA are definetly in for a hard time being largely inexperienced, those who are also struggling are Victoria

Chuck's run down:

QLD: Worthy favourites this year, with the likes of Maher, Love, Symonds, Hopes, Noffke, Bichel, Hauritz, Watson + Seccombe. A class side

WA: Very Strong batting line up that consists of Rogers, Meuleman, Hussey, North, Marsh...Bowling a bit weak with one of my personal dislikes Brad Williams the front runner...hogg is struggling, but the inclusion of Sean Ervine will help

SA: A nice looking bowling attack with plenty of blokes that are looking to be in the Aussie side in a few years... Rofe, Tait, Cleary...Inexperienced batting line up with Ferguson, higgs, cosgrove, cullen, but my personal view is that ferguson is a class bat and will be playing for years

NSW: I think they will start to sturggle with the departure with Waugh, waugh, bevan + Slater, but have a good bowling line up i.e Lee, MacGill, NIcholsen.

VIC: Defending champs can only go downhill...Elliot, hodge, white, harvey, inness + moss hlding together an ordinary team.

TAS: The team on the rise. Look for appearances in Australia A by Griffith and Doherty in the coming Years. Old timers Di Venuto, bevan, wright + marsh reaching the end of their tether, but many more stars to come.
