Hows this for an idea? - I (Chuck) Become a forum bookie, and give odds on specified sporting matches etc. The rest of the forum can bet hypothetical money on any of the outcomes, with each bet being $10. Maximum of 5 bets going at one time, maximum of 2 bets per person, and you can only bet on one outcome e.g $10 France to win - NOT $3 France win, $4 draw, $3 Aus win (to make things easier). Anyone interested??? If so, then here are my current markets:
AUSTRALIA vs NEW ZEALAND (cricket test match)
Aus: $1.80
Draw: $3.00
Nzl: $6.00
HAYDEN vs SINCLAIR (most runs in first innings)
Hayden: $1.40
Draw: $101
Sinclair: $11.00
L.HEWITT vs C.MOYA (winner)
Hewitt: $1.35
Moya: $3.00
S.WILLIAMS vs M.SHARAPOVA (winner)
Williams: $1.40
Sharapova: $2.80
Look forward to seeing those bets rolling in
Good Luck
Chuck

Chuck,
With those tough percentages, you will never go broke!
If you want to see competitive markets, have a look at pinnacle.

Chuck ,I'll have $10 on Australia at $1.80

You beauty!!! Maria Sharapova came back from a hopeless position in the last set to beat Serena Williams in the Womens final. Not like I had a cent on it or anything but I always like to see good triumph over evil!!!

It was awesome that Sharapova won, but she was very lucky! Serena was injured badly and could only serve at about 80km/h and was trying to hit winners off every ball to keep the points short - she probably should of retired, but I am glad she didn't as my cash was on Sharapova.

Oh okay. I didn't know that. I wasn't watching it, just following the scores on the internet. Anyway, I have absolutely no sympathy for Williams.

You would have still got your money if she had retired.

Only if it relates to the Williams sisters. I simply can't stand them and I'm sure I'm not the only person that feels that way.
And I'm not talking through my pocket, because I've done quite well out of them over the years, especially when they appeared in all those Grand Slam finals together.

So what has happened to turn the relationship so sour?

sportznut,
How would he have been paid if Williams retired? All bookies in Australia are "match complete" on tennis.

I am pretty sure most bookies brought in the match complete rule because of some of the dodgy dealings that have happened previously in tennis. I have heard that some places have a twist on that rule where they will pay out if one set has been complete, but I am sure most places these days need the match to be finished.
To be honest I was hoping Williams would retire because I thought I was screwed, right now though I am glad she fought it to the end heheheh!

You're kidding??? Geez, that's tough! I thought they brought in some rule where matches simply had to go for a certain amount of time, like one set or something. I didn't think they had to complete the whole match.

I'd give you 10's Rabbitz as i don't think it will run, their looking at the Doncaster instead as they think he may not stay. Count Ricardo should be early favorite and maybe Plastered if he fails the swab and has to requalify for the cups.

Ill take the 10's
Wont stay,their crazy
He was having a big snooze the other day
I reckon the doncaster will turn out too short,You can quote when the time comes
Now where can I get those tens
Gee if Count ricardo is early favourite its a week race, what a flea

I would lay at Tens, No worries. So much water to go under the Bridge before the Derby. Plus good horses like Not a Single Doubt, Spikes and probably even some unraced horses could be superstars, Could get injured, might not start, might not stay. Grand Zulu didn't start last year and it would've been the best thing since sliced bread.
