Do you base any of your selection on the tips at racetab.com.au? all of yours are the 1st selection in that race! Or maybe its just that great minds think alike!

I do look at the selections, but no, it's just the way it turned out. Actually, Paul Dolan tipped no.1 to beat Malfoy I think.

yeah your right...i still think Malfoy will be a class above them though...

Chuck

oops, i accidently put a trot race in there...get rid of the penrith race and put $20 on traction control and $20 on Freefall

In future, I'd prefer it if you concentrated only on the NIGHT Greyhounds Chuck, so no day meetings like Geelong please.

Pristine Litenin, but I won't get any medals for picking that. It'll probably pay $1.20 or $1.30. I think your picks will be much better odds than most of mine.

Yeah well thats the best bet of the year.......
If you have $100,000 to whack on it..... ;)
Which Venue do you follow the closest?

Dugga,

I'm just a learner. I've only really been looking closely at the Greyhounds for about a month now. Never used to pay much attention to them before that. I'm finding it quite interesting. So far, I guess I'm concentrating on Sandown the most.

Can I say,Sportznut, without looking at the formguide, you may very well miss out on winning the comp, but still back 7 out of 8 again!

Cheers - Cheeky Mo.

Yeah Mo, I guess I'll wait till I have a bit more experience with dog racing before I get the guts to be more daring with my tips. :)

Not that I have won many tipping comps, but I have had a look at the stats, and more winners does not point you towards the top of the tree.
Plenty of winners will get you more respect than the punter who flukes a roughie,in my eyes anyway, but the occasional 33-1 short is what takes home the bacon in a competition.
Still remember TheFan mistipping the wrong number in the wrong race and belting everyone that time.

Yep. Not bad odds either considering. Same with Pristine Litenin. I thought $1.50 was pretty good there.

Dugga11

Congratulations Sportznut.
And here is some knowledge I have acquired from personal experience.

You appear to have an appropriate amount of knowledge right now to pick winners in a proffitable way.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LEARN ANY MORE!

I have found that knowing too much is almost as bad as knowing too little.

Thanks a lot Mo. Could have done even better if I had stuck to my best 4 picks. They all won. The other 4 lost.

Well here is some more wisdom for you!
Get a pen and paper and write down your last post 10 times.
Not as a punishment, but to drum it into your head to do it next Thursday!
