Personally I don't like having funds tied up in long term events but might invest a large amount in Chelsea to win the English Premier League. They are 5 points clear of Arsenal, getting better every game and have huge squad depth. Not to mention one of the best managers (if not THE best) in the game.

Back Chelsea to win the EPL if you like long term betting, in my opinion. Price is 1.52 at some places but that's good considering Chelsea ARE going to win.

I will reference this thread on the final day of the premier league.

Well, I love long-term betting and I always bet pre-season on the EPL. I got $2.80 on Arsenal and $2.90 on Chelsea. I backed them both because I couldn't really see any other team winning.

I don't like the way you're saying Chelsea ARE going to win though. They're definitely looking good, but there's still a fair way to go.

I don't like having my money tied up for long periods. Think what can happen...new players, new managers, injuries, etc

Good luck to you knowledge!

I remember after the first 5 or 6 games, Arsenal were looking unbeatable and THEY actually got into about $1.50, so you can't really tell. I think the thing that has Chelsea on top is their defence. Just 8 goals let in from 17 games. Meanwhile, Everton's really been the surprise packet. They lost Wayne Rooney and improved!!!

Long term punting! Better off with a bank short term investment. At least assured of a profit!!

Jose is too strong of a character to lose the title. He's already implied that Chelsea will win and who would bet against him. He led a club most people had never heard of (Porto) to winning the Portuguese Superliga and the UEFA Champions League.

in the UEFA Cup i like Olympiakos at $21 and Dynamo Kiev at $21 and AZ Alkmaar at ... YOU GUESSED IT .. $21. Bookies got lazy with Uefa Cup betting and are labelling Newcastle the favourite - that's crazy. If they win I'll never bet again.

I got $2.90 pre-season, but as I backed 2 teams, I guess it was really like getting $1.45. I reckon that was pretty good value considering I had the added insurance of having the two teams playing for me. :)

yep sportz you can't lose. Obviously if anyone wins other than Chelsea (haha yeh right) it will be Arsenal.

do you bet more on long term or short term gambling?

Considering on sportstab they are now only paying $1.10

$1.52 looks very good indeed.
