Yep, and silly old me left Fangio out of my quinella and trifecta. I usually like to look at those ones right at the very bottom of the field, especially in multiples.

Yes!
I have seen you posting these results, but somehow I missed the posts on all the selections, the strikerate and POT (if any).
I do not doubt that you indeed made and bet on these selections, but it would be more plausible if you posted your PPM selections before the race finished??
Maybe? Please?

valid point there, maybe i will start posting my tips after the race, that way i will look like a much better gambler.

If you'd taken the time to read the original thread you would know that it was offered as a 'toungue in cheek' plan, nevertheless it seems to come up with some winners at great odds.

Iomaca, luv2bet - the wording of your posts suggest a slur against PartyPooper who has kindly (and not all-together seriously, in the begginning at least) shared this idea with you. The rules have been clearly stated, it's up to you if you want to follow it.

You both need to try a bit harder.

The problem with posting selection is there are sometimes 30+ on a saturday.....the strike rate is low but didvidends are high they are more of a spot play than somthing you would follow

Shaun,

As I pointed out on one other occasion, I only ever consider the ones at the very bottom of the field. Do that and you'll have a lot less selections and still pick up some nice divs like Fangio and a couple of others yesterday. And yes, there will be some bad losing runs, but it's still not a bad idea to at least add these horses to quinellas and trifectas (something I forgot to do yesterday and it cost me).

Mate i agree totaly...i am not against these selection and yes great for the exotics.....if i can remember the rules it was the horse at the bottom of the field with a D or C in the form.....remind me was that after scratchings so if there were scratched horse under it that would be fine

Well ! that stirred a bit of Mud, the selections are VERY much obvious B4 racing, i.e. working up from lowest TAB no. selection is the first horse that has a d or c in its form, Saturdays or Public Holiday/ carnival type meetings, 5 States, yes you can have sometimes 30 selections but of course it is the big ones were after, so NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!

Personally I add a few filters to reduce the number of bets, but I can tell you that the bottomweight with a d or c in it's form is a CLEAR CUT UNEQUIVOCAL SELECTION, don't let envy cause you to make jealous comments!!
It's a FREE system so back em or don't, but maybe less of the ---T

Scratchings don't come into it. It's simply the horse at the very bottom of the field (including emergencies). If that horse is scratched, then leave the race.

Would the strike rate and return be something similar to taking the same 3 numbers in every game of Keno?

Hi Partypooper,
I`m with you on this one.
It`s amazing how something so simple ,with tongue firmly in cheek, is made ouit to be so confusing , with a couple of personal digs chucked in for good measure.

Why bother listing the selections ,when they can easily do it themselevs.
It`s not rocket science.
It`s up to the individual punter to evaluate as you have previously suggested .

One would like to see is some constructve input , so as to improve the idea.

Don`t forget , it`s just another interesting idea that happens to kick the odd juicy goal , it`s not set in concrete.

I guess it`s human nature in action .

Cheers.

[QUOTE=partypooper] don't let envy cause you to make jealous comments!!

Hi!
Sorry mate!
Envy has nothing to do with it, but not everyone is aware of all the threads in this forum.
That's why I found it odd that I only saw the results posted but never the selections!
Dead easy to follow now!
Thank's

Lomaca, no worries, as Bhagwan says it was only a bit of fun that has sorta carried on. Just too many selectios to list everytime, although I've personally added a few filters as I said. Have to admit that I haven't kept strict records but believe that it doesn't owe me anything.

[QUOTE=partypooper]Lomaca, no worries,
That's Ok!
Now that I know the rules I might add something for you to try. Unless of course you already did that!?
Same as before, go to the bottom weight, select the first one with a win on a Metro track at one of it's past two runs. ( 2 wins is Ok), first one to qualify is the selection.
If no qualifyer but still itching for a bet select the first one with a provincial win at one of it's past two runs but with a race stake of at least $10 000. If there are more than one selections either leave the race alone or go for the longest odds. This should reduce the selections somewhat.
Also no Maiden wins or 2 year old horses!!!

Seems reasonable, lets see how it pans out!!
