We can discuss everything related to the contest here.
First of all, I want to know what date you think it should finish? I have to decide by the end of today because betting starts tomorrow.
It's good to see a lot of you have registered. I promise I won't go out so early this time. :)

Mate I reckon by the end of January at the very latest.
If betting starts tomorrow does that mean I can bet on tonights games, there are a couple their I fancy a result in.
Damn Liverpool starting their game at 23.45 :p

End on January sounds good,
also do you think it would be possible to use another TAB as sportstab offers very little in the way of handicaps etc even ias would be better
knowledge
3rd January 2005, 05:24 PM
well I guess we can start the contest 15 mins before Jan 4. :)
I will open the thread at 9.30pm EST and you can bet from then. I just need to give people a bit more time to register.
The tournament will finish on Jan 31st.

sorry but it's simpler that we all use sportstab.
You can bet at those agencies with your own real money and in this competition use sportstab.
It worked well in thelast competition and like the saying goes 'if it is not broken, don't fix it'. :) I hope you can adjust.

Bad luck, knowledge, out already!!! Maybe we could have special situations, wher if you go out, you may have one last $5 bet and if that loses then you are out, but if you win you work from there

I may bet on lots of games, however they are mostly short priced favorites in multi's with no more than around $20 on

bad luck Sparkus
Do you mean bad luck as in if Farley had of scored one more point I would have won the bet outright instead of getting half the dividend??
The tool had a chance to win outright as well when he got the ball for an open lay-up with the clock winding down, but he hot dogged it and didn't get it off in time!!!!!!

The only reason i am betting all my money is that I am going on Holidays next week, so i am either going to post a massive total or bust out!!

Turf Moor tie called off
Friday January 07 2005
Torrential rain washed out Burnley's FA Cup third round tie with Liverpool at Turf Moor, with the tie moved to Tuesday, January 18.
Ok folks (knowledge) whats the ruling on this. I have $20.00 and $5.00 tied up in multis that include this game and now it is postponed until January 18th. The first multi is the one I am most concerned about, as the first four legs are winners. The second multi still has a chance but the way Aust A are going it is starting to look doubtful.
I realise that at the TAB etc this is not an option, but this is a friendly competition, and I wanted to know what the rules where????
Do I:
a) Do nothing, leave it and suffer, until the 18th.
b) remove it from my multis and get on with the challenge.
c) substitute another soccer game from this weekends rounds.
d) forfiet the entire bet and reinstate my opening balance.
Here are the two multi's in question.
Copied from the $50 CHALLENGE - BETTING thread, page 2.

Yea i had the same multi goin, but i had Hewitt, Molik and Federer to win @ $13.76 , i had plenty of nervous moments with Western Australia though , nothing worse than the live scores dropping out with 6 overs to go ! The Hunter v West Sydney game was a tight one also...
Jack Daniels
15th January 2005, 10:50 AM
Mate I was so close to taking Hewitt at 2-1 @ $4.50 and Hunter 1-10 winning margin @ $3.35
I wish I had have done.
Would have beefed the multi right up to about $62.ish. Then again I wouldn't have put a hungie on it either.
Still I am happy with the result. :)
