Maths Methods Research Centre

About 20 years ago I had some contact with an organisation in Caulfield, Melbourne, called the Maths Methods Research Centre. They may have been associated with the Caulfield Inst of Technology or one of the universities. They developed a methodical approach to race analysis without using ratings. Does anyone know what happened to them? A google search reveals nothing. I'm curious to know whether they developed their ideas any further. I'd appreciate any info on their history.
