I have Foxtel and if I did not have it I don't think I would sports bet at all.

So I ask you...

1. do you have foxtel? if not, why do you bet?
2. if you didn't have foxtel, would you bet?

I do suppose bettng would be ok on the AFL because channel10 seems to broadcast a lot.

1. I have Foxtel
2. I would still bet, but I would not be half as well informed.

I don't have Pay TV and I don't think I ever will have. I don't believe you should have to pay to watch sport on TV. I live just a block away from the local Football club where you can watch sport on the big screen TV. If there's something I'm really keen to watch, I go there. 99% of the time it doesn't worry me though.

I don't believe you have to watch an event to have a bet on it. I also don't believe you have to have a bet on every event that you watch.

I have Foxtel too. But I have been betting far longer than I have had Foxtel. Yes I would continue to bet with or without Foxtel.

My partner hates Foxtel. She can't stand it when I watch two different tennis games and a cricket match flicking channels constantly. Same thing happens during the footy season too! Hahahahaha :)

I dont have Foxtel, but have a fellow punter who generously tapes all replays of a nighttime, i think this helps me concentrate as if i did have Fox that urge to give the phone account a call on impulse would be hard to combat. Can just look at the races and write down the 'star runs' and only look out for them horses decide if the race is suitable and hope for the best.

I really don't mind paying to watch sport on TV. You can watch it in your underwear and the beer is cheep.

There are other advantages to pay TV too, but they are not as interesting (or important).

Was that a typo moeee (fart or tart)
Ive been down your way recently .....went to a wedding at Beechworth and danced with the bride without underwear(me not her ) and I also nicked out to Rutherglen and picked up 5Litres of Buller and Sons finest reserve port.(well maybe not their finest ,but it goes down ok)
I was without access to any computers while I was away (2 weeks round trip ) and let me tell ya I was glad to get backand have my arse in the chair to watch the live scores coming in ........ I picked up the Sunday paper in Beechworth to look at the race results ........And instead of equal coverage of Sydney Melb and Bris...surprise surprise.....a double page spread of Caulfield races including pictures and the rest of the races on the next page in columns.
And while I was at the wedding I was seated next to a young horse trainer from Albury who told me that that he had an unraced 3yo filly hell be having a go with(all things being equal) at the Albury Cup Meeting(s) from what he told me his go seems to be setting horses for first up wins But anyway out of respect for him I wont drop it or his name till its nearly time .
7 weeks till the footy ?....Im sure the NRL starts before then ......Cheers Mo

I have foxtel. Don't know how any sports fan could live without it. Wanna get digital so I can reply everything from every angle in slow mo.

Wouldn't be less informed (since the net exists) but I love watchin sports.
