I just started seriously punting 5 weeks ago.

I have a few systems in place that are returning a very tidy profit
at level stakes.

System 1 : SATURDAY METRO MEETS
bet - 37 units, return - 52.65 units, pot - 42.30%

System 2 : COUNTRY/PROVINCIAL MEETS
bet - 31 units, return - 39.47 units, pot - 27.32%

System 3 : ULTIMATE BETS (very rare - one a week ave., all 5 have won)
bet - 5 units, return - 10.36 units, pot - 107.20%

Another 5-10 different systems are ranging from anywhere between 5 - 50% profit on turnover at level stakes.

So basically, these bets have been totalled after one month of serious betting.

How long should I allow (ie 6 months is approx 400 bets) or after how many bets could I consider that my pot% will stabilise and level out?

Because obviously if I continue at this rate I can start planning my retirement in the very near future........

My suggestion is to bet 1% of your bank level stakes & await any possible long run of outs, I have had systems that have worked well for 2 years then suddenly fall in a hole .

So stay vigilant , maybe stop betting on any system that has 12 outs in a row ,then recomence betting on it once it scores a winner.

May the Punt be with you.

Cheers.

Sahasastar, welcome to the club!! everyone on this forum has been "THERE" at least once and more than likely 10 times +. shit, I thought I was going to retire at age 18, after 2 years beating the book like clockwork!! absolute truth!

That was only 35 years ago, and I have been chasing the grail ever since, now, I got smart about 2 years ago, and while I'm quietly confident with my new found "patience" I live in dread of that devastating run of outs!!

Not knocking , you understand, I'm just saying be patient and cautious!
