Poker at Star City

If anyone has played at Star City Casino in Sydney I'd like to know what to expect. I'm planning to go there to play poker very soon. Specifically Texas Hold'em. I've never been before and was wondering what the table limits start from, and what the best time to go would be.

Mofo I was interested in playing the last time I was at Star City. But they seem to be pretty busy late in the night. I believe you go to where the poker playing (texas holdem) area is and you have to join a waiting list when they are very busy. Didn't like that idea so I went and played blackjack.

I was wondering how the casino make $$$ from it. All the texas holdem I have seen the only involvement in the tournaments by the casino was to deal and monitor bets and rules etc....

So anybody that has played at Star City. Give us the goss! Please. :)

I haven't played personally but have watched (I'm trying to build up the courage to put my money where my mouth is :P)

They offer a range of tables at Star City, the smallest Holdem table is 100 min buyin and 5/10 stakes.

I went on a Monday arvo and most tables had more than a couple on the wait list as its pretty popular i think.

Thanks hustler, that's good to know. I'm planning to go in a couple of weeks. Excitement. A couple in front on the waiting list will be fine as it'll give me a chance to scope the play. And if I lose $$$ getting an education in poker then so be it.
