Just plonked the $2.60, Spark of Life, It looks a terrific price IMO. He is going to lead so easily with Delzao and Sky Cuddle who are resuming drawn inside him and i cant see anything challenging him, can anyone else? He will enter the straight with a nice lead and at WFA i cant see any of these wearing him down. He's an even money pop for mine and i dont think the 2.60 will last long. I was very confident on the Roller last week, but am even more confident this week, what do you think Duritz.

I personally can't see Charge Forward or Dane Shadow winning getting only 3kg off the likes of Cape Of Good Hope a winner of over $3 million, Super Elegant a double G1 winner, Bomber Bill a triple G1 winner one of those being at Moonee Valley, Delzao a double G1 placegetter behind Starcraft and Lonhro, Modem a double G1 winner and Spark Of Life a double G1 winner one of those being at Moonee Valley and winner of 8 of 11 career races, plus Sky Cuddle a G1 winner only 0.5kg above them.

Now i have said that they will probably come out and quinella the race!!!!

Spark Of Life seems alitle flat this prep...i'd say he'll lead and go fast..but i think the good old Bomber can run him down..and Super Elegant will be there as well..

You'll all see saturday. I don't think he's as good as a lot of people thought, but in saying that this race is probably not true G1 standard (people are tipping 9yo for gods sake). The race looks made to order, i'm not saying he's a superstar but his form and the pattern this race will be run in, makes him a special IMHO. Can someone please agree with me? So i can have some piece of mind leading into the race.

i think you're pretty safe Mr Ed..if i was betting my life on the race i'd be with Spark Of Life....
From all reports though Charge Foward is going to be a threat ...Old Bomber and Super seem to just get better with age...and looking at the replay of the Lightning ,,Cape of Good Hope copped a fair bump when Dane Shadow went from the inside to the outside,,and he still finished close..
I think if Sparky gets pressured up front by maybe Super Elegant who should sit on his shoulder and they go too fast ..i'll be confident on bomber..but if they let Sparky lead easily he'll win for sure....
I just thought (on the TV) that Sparky looked to good last week...i like to see alittle bit of condition on them when they are first up...my guess though since that run they'll be doing very light work with him,,,probably swimming ect just to freshen him alittle..

He looks a genuine odds-on chance here now, so $2.60 is terrific value to me.
I may have an interest bet on Dane Shadow and Great is Great. I rate these 2 genuine improvers.

Certainly not one of the best races I have ever seen even less impressive with the scratching of Charge Forward. I highly doubt I will bet on the race will probably just sit and watch more interested to see how the likes of Modem and Sky Cuddle go will be happy enough just to see them both run on nicely good to see Modem over here though that is for sure.

There'll be a decent deduction on that Brave Chief, but im happy i will still get roughly $2.25 and Charge Forward did look the only danger.

Spark of Life apparently worked well at the Valley during the week. As you say, he will dictate, or at least he won't be pressured. He's the deserved top pick, b/c they WILL have to run him down, and they'll have to go to their best to do it. I think his TRUE (100%) odds are about $2.20, so if I were a bookie I'd have him at $2.00 at the longest. Ed while the $2.60 IS overs, I do agree with you there, I still think you'll get $2.60 today.

Bomber is evergreen, he doesn't know he's a 9yo. Super Elegant is flying, but as I said, he'll need to do his best to win. On my figs, if Spark does what he did beating Yell last prep, and Super goes like he did at the Valley 3 weeks ago, Super won't run him down. Again, if Spark goes like he did beating Yell and Bomber goes like he did at the Valley in October winning, he won't run Spark down either. Same thing for Cape of Good Hope. As an aside, I began rating Hong Kong late last year, and on my figures Cape of Good Hope returned the same last start as he did in his runs behind Silent Witness, which for me proves that I'm on the right track with the Hong Kong ratings scale. In that respect, Cape rated 1.5 lengths inferior last start to what Spark rated winning in October.

The others can only win if ALL of those four horses go below their best.

That being said, the race is up to Spark of Life. If it goes to it's best, it wins.

Futures betting is ALL IN, all fixed odds multiples (doubles) are ALL IN, but Final Field win and place bets are REFUNDABLE.
