Why is it!! Spent 4 hours doing form for tonites 2 meetings at Syd. , Melb.

I Have recently come with a new system that is a little like sportz's one with tastab and uni, penalties applying for different aspects. Anyhow i rated them as below:

Syd R1; 1,5 - NO BET SMALL FIELD, Result with no bet
Syd r2; 1,2 - No bet small field, result
Syd r3 1,2 - Small loss as no confidence
Syd r4 4,5,2- chose somethihg else
Syd r5 7,9 - as above
Syd r6 4, 10- as above
Syd r7 7,1 - as above

Melb r1 2,1,3- chose something else
Melb r2 5, 1, 4- chose something else
Melb r3 1,4,2 - chose something else
Melb r4 5,1,7- ok
Melb r5 2,4,6, chose something else
Melb r6 4,2,5 ok
Melb r7 9, 10 3- chose something else

AS you can see i rated 6 winners in Melb, backed none and the last one was enough for me to destroy the mobile phone as it paid $14 AND HAD IT RATED 5 BETTER than anything else. SYDNEY- RATED 4 WINNERS and backed none as well!!! Anyone got an explanation for me?

what were you reasons for choosing something else?

Yeah, that's what I was gunna say, but I'm no better. I sometimes end up going against my own ratings and systems with similarly awful results.

searay, maybe a couple of reasons or all of them
1:Undisciplined
2:Not 100% confident in your ratings
3:If you can rate them so well and switch you have a pumpkin for a head.(No offence meant,as Ken Howard used to say,"Off goes my head and on goes a pumpkin")
4:Easily swayed if something for some unknown reason seems better after you've done the hard work and yet it still does not qualify.
5: Mixing punting with imbibing in the demon drink. This happens quite frequently where discipline is lacking.
Good luck.

Thanx for input guys, lack of discipline comes first with no patience, which i will have to curb!

Oh sportz, can utell me what the asterix is next to the tastab ratings on a particular horse?

REMEMBER - Think first before saying nothing.

It means the gear that the horse races with.

I think * means the horse wore blinkers. There's a menu or something on the website somewhere that tells you, but do you think I can find it??? One of the other users of those ratings mentioned on here how to find it. I've done a search for that post, but again, do you think I can find that either??? :(

It`s imperative that one drinks librally when Puntin , it numbs the pain.

Make sure that Pumpkin we all keep in the bottom draw is kept nicely polished so we can "oh so comfortably" place it on our shoulders & then go to Town of Rack & Ruin when things are going Pear shaped.

Now ,if anyone feels that these ideas are pretty silly, then why do people repeat this behaviour time & time again..?

Cheers.
