Could anyone please post the NSW Tab and Unitab website addresses (if any) I've tried the usual searches without success.

I don't like the new NSW TAB site so far. I do like having some of the stats there, which I've been getting elsewhere. Probably too early to tell, but, what do you think? Apparently Americans aren't too welcome there, because their mandatory signup page has many, many countries, but not the U.S.. I was only signing up for an informational account, not a betting account, which US citizens cannot have there. I had to say I was in Canada to complete my registration.

Gday Glen

I have read further... and surprise surbloodyprise, they are NOT going to have a scratchings page.. They reckon that they have had it with companies harvesting their "copyrighted" *choke* information.. That seems a bit like expecting people to buy a pig in a poke. How the hell are ya sposed to do final form if you don't have access to Full scratchings.,.. It is NO GOOD having to go from actual race page to race page to find what is scratched.. I dfon't know how long this piece of public relations garbage will last... oh hang on this is the same TAB that in the past was happy to give place dividends of 80c so nothing should surprise.

They can remodel a website to make it more difficult for punters in quick time, but to do something that actually benefits punters is another thing .. This black duck will close his TAB account and take it off to Qld, mercifully most of my betting is done elsehwere..

Moderator, feel free to remove this if you think this may upset those bastions of fairplay, the TABs, but if you do... I will be sitting here with if not a cynical grin then a wry one ..

Try this link:

http://www.racetab.com.au/racing/default.aspx

The NEW page.

We may be getting a different url if out of Oz? maybe even in your different states? Anyway, I can get both.

Just like here; the punter comes last. All we do is support ALL of racing worldwide, and get little respect. I guess I'll have to listen to that sexy sounding gal on 2KY to get my scratchings.

This is the opening paragraph on the OLD page: (misspelling and all)

"The new RaceTAB website will be going live around 6am on Monday 28th Febryary 2005. The old RaceTAB and NetTAB websites will still be accessible for a limited period of time. For more information please visit our online HELP centre. Just click on the HELP button at the top of the page. "

I appreciate Management allowing my postings here. At least the last few show how screwed up one of their competitors really is.

I guess it was all a matter of what one had bookmarked on their computer. The URL you posted goes nowhere for me, XPT, so location must still be a factor. I would still like to hear some thoughts on the new site.

Glenn

Amazing that a multi million dollar takeover and website rollout contains basic grammar and spelling mistakes.

Secondly, they are looking at 24 hour internet betting...overseas fixed odds perhaps?

Certain information will no longer be provided as part of the release of the new websites for Racing betting and Sports betting.

Reduction in information, an increase in takeout - are they serious about customer service? One needs to log in just to look at anything or get results.

If they are amalgamating the pools, what's with having various websites all running, why not boost their servers and run it from one location?

It's a trend anyway in the last ten years in general in most service industries...less customer service, higher prices. It will backfire soon enough, and not just for the TABs either.

That's why I'm doing so well in my own computer business, my customers cannot believe that someone actually gives reliable old fashioned customer service in this day and age.

Take the hint TABCorp.

I notice that the ratings on unitab are the same as on supertab, are they all the same in other states as well?

Sportz
28th February 2005, 01:17 PM
Are you sure? They never used to be the same.

Sportz

Just looked. They're not the same.

The idiots at Ebay, USA made the same mistake. To celebrate record profits every year, they annually raised their rates and cut their "customer service". It left me awestruck that a big company would do just the opposite of good business practices. Just corporate arrogance and greed, I suppose. Finally, now they realize that they are not irreplaceable and immortal. They have rolled back pricing and are actually hiring humans to do their customer service. Perhaps some racing corporations need to analyze their deeds. Your computer business will do well, Chrome, because the owner (you) has the right business philosophy.

Your right CHROME.
Service in this country has gone backwards over the past 10 years.
It would appear that business thinks the customer owes THEM a living.
I have news for them .We dont .And will take our business elewhere unless they smarten up.
Cheers.

Sportz, I've obviously done something wrong, I'm trying to compare divies & ratings on past results NSW TAB,- Unitab,- WA TAB.

So I went to TAB on-line (which I'm told is the Unitab site) went into results archives for Belmont Saturday 26th Feb, and noticed that the Ratings are the same as in my WA TAB-FORM, where have I gone wrong????

PS. Also can't find any Ratings in archives on the NSW Tab site, though the rest of it is good especially the Audio play-back of every race.

Interesting - yesterday my link to the old site was automatically redirected to the new site. Not now. Has the new site been temporarily removed?

Their new site is hardly smart marketing of their business where unless you are a registered user you are basically unable to access anything on the site. Doesn't seem a smart way to encourage new people to bet on the site.

No scratchings? Good grief.

Sorry. Yeah, THOSE ratings are probably the same. I thought you were comparing the Unitab ratings to those at Tabcorp: http://www.tabracing.com.au/

True, Neil. Very poor business. So it's scratchings and the track racecaller selections that are such potent "trade secrets"? These are freely available many other places. Only paying members (automatically excluding all Americans) get this valuable information, along with stats like jockey and trainer strike rates, which are also freely available elsewhere. (I got a preview of their info before they blocked me. They also have some kind of consensus selections, but I was not impressed) Everyone will shift their patronage elsewhere, where it's more user friendly and consumer conscious. I guess it's legal in most countries for businesses to commit suicide if they wish. They have done one Helluva job.

Glenn

Gday Neil,

From the help *choke* page:

IMPORTANT MESSAGES!
• Here are some of the features of the new websites:
*24 hour access to your account balance *24 hour access to your new 90 day detailed account statements *Multiple languages *Multiple currencies *New Bet Slip and more!

Now I can't find the link to the page
