I don't know how much anyone else has played around in the new website yet but I have already noticed that Scratching are no longer available and audio replays cannot be download (you can still listen to races but can't download).
It does have a nice bet history for all previous week's bet and the way you place a bet has changed and seems ok.

Is there anywhere else audio's and scratching are freely available?

Hi,

I regularly download the audio from http://www.nswtab.com.au/ and am not having any problems as of 2/3/05 .. If you can't get it try emailing them. It may be a hitch..

i am having great difficulty with the new site.
i will likely move my account because of the clumsiness of the site.

1. replays are only available on Internet Explorer. I use Mozilla. (IE breaks down too much.)
2. I cant find the Pre race tab prices.

3. I tried to enter DFS I dont know what DFS means so thought I would find out> cant get in because I havent logged out.
4. There is nowhere to log out of.

5. why do I have to log into look at race results. seems overkill.

I know its early days but it irritates to think that professional people present botches like this.

meanwhile i am looking for a another tab site.

PS> my work computer has always handled the replays but now it wont work at all. I use IE on that computer so must be the recording/playing device that is now inappropriate.

Thanks for the comments. Yes the audios are still available on the old site but this site will cease to exist in May.
You have to log in to do just about anything. They seem to have gone overboard on DFS (Daily Form Service) and Tips.

Does anyone know where scratching will be available is list form?

Hard to understand why they went 'Live' with all these teething problems. Isn't exhaustive testing by all sorts of people performed prior to launch? I remember TabCorp had heaps of errors when they rolled out their new version. I've emailed NSWTAB about not having the A-Z list anymore. I'm using the old website till its expiry end of May.

As yet I haven't visited the new site, just the demo. As a software developer myself I know that launching a new product is largely done by the sales & managment teams and no-one consults the programmers who have to actually make it all work. (So lay off the programmers... Their just human) My experience is that the old site would likely be extended if the new site is not 100% on the day even if the programmers work around the clock..

Tis the way it happens in the computer world...

i suppose we will get used to it.
unitab i think requires a log in to get information and this may be to cut down congestion in these areas.
the other site was so good and user friendly that we got spoilt with it.
i admit to opening an account with nsw tab because of the quality of the site.
it is much more difficult at the moment.
prices are available if you are going to place a bet.
the ozbet site has the information without logging in but you are betting on a different tab to the information you are getting.
due to the slow responses of dial-in internet the more cumbersome it is the less likely we are to use it.
