Here`s a plan that appeared in a certain magazine many years ago.
1)Top ranked average prize money.
2)Sat. Metro only. All states.
3)Must have had 5+ career starts.
4)Must have had 1-3 wins in last 5 starts.
5)Must not have finished worse than 5 lengths in any 2 consecative races(over last 5 starts)
This last rule could maybe be replaced with , must not have finished 6th or worse in 2 consecitive races, over last 5 starts.
This is done to prove the horse has had some consistancy beating approx half the field , we are assuming the average field size is 10.
To add value ,it would be an idea that the selection be $3.10+ in newspaper pre-post market before it becomes a bet, because the plan does throw up a lot of short prices that dont win enough to show a profit, so it`s best to leave them out.
