OK folks here it is, a winning system, the grail of racing, the thing we all chase, want so badly, here for you, free of charge, to do with as you will. I only ask that you remember me when you're a billionaire.

I have had to paste the rules in, so scroll down to get them.

"Winning System"
Copyright 2005.

Rules:

1 - Back Alinghi the place tomorrow.
2 - See rule 1.

That's it!!!! GUARANTEED at least 4% profit on turnover, PROBABLY at LEAST 10%!!!!!!

You can thank me later.

DAMN your eyes Duritz.

A curse on your house.

Now you've told all the forum and you know they can't keep a secret.

I doubt we'll get even $2.00 the place. That's the last time I give you the nod.

After last week's run, he just might be out of puff and run unplaced.

Who will pay for my pie and bus fare home if this Holy Grail system fails me today ?

Fear it not, devoted followers, fear it not, for we shall all ride the Alinghi magic sleigh home atop the silvery clouds, powered by the riches we plunder from the ring....

Duritz,
I know of a Popular Punting Magazine that could use you as a tipster.

Cheers

LOL yes...........

Nice use of their acronym there by the way.

My little joke backfired!!!!

I must admit, I hadn't really paid any attention to the race, didn't realise until someone posted that there wasn't enough runners for three place dividends, which was the reason I put up my little joke in the first place! You know what they say, it doesn't pay to be a smarta***

Gday All,

First up I am not a place bettor as a rule... and I was wondering if any place bettors can explain the logic of not betting in races with less than 8 runners... I know there is NTD but to my way of thiking, the place pool is divided by 2 instead of three and you have less horses to sift through to find a place getter... maybe i am suffering some form of mild retardation, but i don't follow the logic...
With a bit of luck a place bettor can shine some light on this for me ..

I wish I had taken more notice of the preview from Craig Tompson of Racenet and BetBusters:

"Shamekha has been building up to a huge first-up performance. She's been one of the best workers at Randwick for a couple of months now and wouldn't have been out of place, or without a winning chance, had she resumed a month or more ago. Gai Waterhouse has targeted the T J Smith Stakes with her though and she is right at her peak. The problems however come with Fastnet Rock, Alinghi and rain. The first two are the best sprinters in the land and the latter is something she has not been able to overcome under race conditions to date. Those negatives are also obvious to the bookies though and she's going to be quite big odds. You could do a lot worse if you're looking for something at good value."

XPT,
No you are not suffering mild retardation, as a dedicated place punter I often back in 7 horse races, but depending on the odds structure of the race and whether the price is worth it, but usually there is a better price on offer than the same win odds in a 8+ race.

pardon me

What's happened to Duritz ???

I miss his colourful turn of phrase, his merciless but hilarious lambasting of his fellow forumites, his ironclad guaranteed systems - well maybe not them.
Someone told me he'd been shot as a result of his last one - surely not - Come on Duritz, show yer face again.
