Steptoe was only beaten in it's last race by Local Legend, a good horse who put in a good performance in a fairly strong race (look at the lengths beaten in it - they are spread out like buggery). Docs last race was about 6KG less in class by my ratings. I was on Steptoe that day, and just as well, it was the only paltry winner I got in 8 races.
BTW what do the yellow line (appropriately called "Line") and the pink line called "Com" mean?

Regular - you came on this forum less than a month ago telling us that you had know idea about horse racing...you keep saying things like "so and so tipped this horse and it lost - why?". I am struggling to know why someone who has followed the horse for such little time is producing graphs that more experienced punters don't have a clue about. Sorry to sound acusatory, but perhaps you should go back to the basics, instead of trying to gallop before you can trot!

from what I can work out, you seem to think that the horse with the superior form will win the race.. Sadly, If it was that simple we would all be millionaires there would be no bookies the TABs would be closed and we would be living in clover.. It doesnt work that way mate... It is the vagaries of racing that make it such a compelling pastime.. Most decent set of ratings will tell you what the best performed horse in any given race is.. but most ratings only provide 25 - 30 per cent winners as the on top selection. So what happens in the other 70% of races? The best performed horse doesnt win .. Thats where having a bit of a clue as to what racing is about comes in, understanding the animals and the people involved, the way tracks play an important role, the weather etc.... If you cant get your head around those pretty basic simple realities of racing you will never succeed.. You MUST be prepared to cop the losses on the chin, otherwise look for something less stressful and maybe more predictable.. Maybe betting the fav in tennis or football.. you only have 2 choices there... but then again there are upsets there.. No one can guarantee a winner in any betting enterprise.. we all have to live with the losing days and look forward to the winning days

Use the search function and in the posted by section, put in "Regular" and read every post and the helpful comments. I did this at 1 am and woke the whole house up laughing.

There is no malice in any of this, just an observation that maybe Regular is winding us up...
