Get on the Roosters to beat the Western Tigers @ $1.28.

If this isn't the best thing I have seen in ages I'm not here.
The Tigers had the biggest gutbuster of a game last weekend against the Dogs that they couldn't possibly back up from it.
The more you put on the more you get back.
Get on fellas it's like taking candy from kids.

I am a one eyed Roosters supporter, and I have to ask what you have on it?;)

Good luck, the way we played last week, there is no way in hell I am betting on this game apart from a multi and pick the margin/winners!

Jose, YOU are kidding,i follow the roosters also, but the best bet OF ALL TIME is the cowboys to beat the Knights at roughly the same price still around $1.22 , better than bank interest and safer than tricky ricky's games he is playing at the moment !

very true GM...i just took Cowboys -12.5 @ $1.76...now thats good value :)

add with Bulldogs to Win @ $1.68 and the Brumbies to Win @ $1.85, put $10 on it and you're looking at a $54.70 return

Jack, will probably go halves with a mate and have $500 between us on them.
(Which is a VERY large bet for me).

The way I see it, it is not so much a matter of how ordinary the Roosters are going as to how the Tigers can back up after that gutbuster.
They will be sore for a fortnight after that effort so early in the season.

GM, the Cowboys are capable of having a dead set shocker at times, and I think they may be due (and that comes from a 25 year Sharkies supporter, so I have a fair idea of what a shocker is LOL).
I hope I'm wrong for your sake, also for the fact that I am a queenslander.

Darky, sounds good, but unless you are sour on your money you would be well advised to stay as far away from me as possible as far as betting is concerned, as my pop used to say "at the moment I couldn't win an argument with a stuttering chinaman".lol

hmmm.. sub 1.30 odds 'best tip of the century' i dont think so.

best tip has to be milan to beat inter 1-0 on Wednesday at a price of (im guessing) $7.00.

Stoopid Roosters defence. Is as holy as the vatican so far this year.

Jose is probably hanging limp from a tree somewhere right now!

Anyone betting serious money on the football inside the first 6 rounds doesn't respect their dough. No formlines evident until round 6 or 7 then Origin stuffs things up for about 6 weeks.

Personally, I like to bet on the football for the last 6 rounds then the semis. Otherwise, too much guesswork.

I normally watch the first 3 rounds while i bet on the gee gee's at the autumn carnival, then step in, but i bet from round 1 ths year for some stupid reason and paid the price, Round 4 this week and i win, things look pretty even this year due to the salary cap and there should be better value coming, the "public teams", roosters, panthers and bulldogs look like they'll struggle for a little while longer, so bet around them .

JD, the Prince/ Marshall halves combination is probably the best in the league, something the chooks don't have [ unfortunately ] they have'nt been beaten with them there yet, 2/2 last year and 2/2 this year, so look out warriors next week!

Well, that's it, I am officially the worst judge in the land.
Some consolation in that;
*The Sharkies got up
*The Cowboys got up
*The Broncos got beat

I'll just lick my wounds for the next few days.
No matter, bring on the next round.

Jose, fair dinkum, do u know your league??? If u have watched the cowboys the past 16-18 months, the only observation u get is that , they are incapable of producing a shocker, and it was certainly not going to happen on home turf!!

If you're the worse judge in the land jose too bad you're not in the NRL tipping comp. At least that way I'd be assured of not taking out the wooden spoon :)

Bad luck Jose, takes balls to back your judgement, post a thread like this and back it up with a large bet. Your rationale may have been fine but shit happens, i've got plenty of pre-race certainty, beaten, stories from the track i'm sure it's no different with sports.

Yes, but it was just not a game where you should have labelled any team as a certainty. The Cowboys against the Knights was definitely the best bet of the weekend, not the out of form Roosters against the in form Tigers.

Ah sportz, if u go back and read the thread you will find that he said the cowboys are capable of producing a shocker and he thought they were due. I only replied to that context and never in my reply did i accuse him of him saying they were going to lose.......... I just wanted to fill him in that in the past 16-18 months i havent seen the cowboys even play badly.......

jose u really make these forums seem f-cking useless with amazingly bad tips like this.

i dont mean to be insulting or offensive but come on... 1.28 "bet of the century" and it lost you can't expect anyone to listen to you from now on.

GEEZ MR K thats a bit harsh .........Ive seen some "nailed on certainties" put up by other people on here that went down in a screaming heap.....and to qualify that I think he said to stay away from his tips ....goodmorning ... hi ho hi ho its off to work i go ...got to earn some money so the poor bookies can feed their families

6th April 2005, 12:42 PM
i know it was harsh and i've also seen 'nailed on' results lose. I've predicted things to win at times and suggested they were certain and seen them LOSE too, but the way jose put so much emphasis on how certain this win was and considering the low low odds and to make things worse, the "TIP OF THE CENTURY" label AND then it LOST!!!!!!... it's all like a nightmare.

better luck next time jose.

Couldn't really call it a tip of the century with so many other people tipping them. @$1.28 obviously they are short priced favourites and expected to win. I would like to see the next tip of the century to at least pay even money....

How about Tigers to bt Warriors

why?

* Tigers did thrash the warriors last year at the very same stadium
*Make that 46 points
* Scott Prince is in form
* Hodgeson hasnt missed a goal as of yet
* Tigers did beat the bulldogs and roosters

They are paying $2.35 or +4.5

I for one won't be on the Tigers to win this one in Christchurch.

I watched both games with interest last week and to my shock the Tigers won over a strong Roosters side, not taking anything away from the Tigers win but the Roosters where not on par with the Tigers skills last weekend. But neither was the Ref.

As for the Warriors they came out fired up in the second half and absolutely smashed Souths alloer the park. I think the Warriors have geled as a side and should dispose of the Tigers with ease.

Warriors 13+

Yeah a lot of STOOPID people. There was no way in hell the Dragons where going to beat the Raiders last weekend.

Every body who backed them thought Trent Barrett would be their saviour.
HAR HAR
It has not been in the halves that the Dragons have struggled so far this year. It has been their lack of go forward through their big men that has cost them. That coupled with a lot of mistakes. They need to get back to basic football if they are to be a chance in hell of beating Manly this weekend, even at WIN stadium.

Go Manly!!!

ps. Go the Warriors too. :)

Yeah. Don't know why I tipped the Warriors. I knew all about their poor record in NZ away from Auckland and the Tigers have been playing so damn well.

By the way, don't ever feel sorry for those punters. Anyone who's got enough money that they can bet up to $10000 on one match doesn't need any sympathy and has more money than sense.
