Hi all,
Im just about to open account with unitab, no dramas and thanks again to those who answered my call in regards to this last time.
Ive looked around and found IAS, spoke to them half an hour ago and am suitably (?) impressed, can anyone give me their honest opinion of the site for betting, withdrawls, super price.
Im looking at opening a fresh nab acount for ease of $ transfers ?,
I only back for win (2,3 or 4 each race)
Now playing with the dogs also.??? why, why, why dingo ???
Any info would be great.
Thanks dingo boy.

I use them and find that generally they are good. I deposited with a credit card and was ready to bet straight away.
They claim to suspend betting about 1 minute before the race, but sometimes it can be earlier, and occasionly later....
I haven't withdrawn any money yet so I can't tell you about that.
The bet process could be sped up, but as long as you are prepared to bet at least 1 minute before jump time you should not have too many worries....

had no probs either getting money in or out so can recomend them from that side of things, but i got a bit edgy a while ago with the troubles they have been having & decided to "suspend" my account for a while (that is, i got every last red cent out)

Are you saying that they suspended your account and you took all your money out ?
What problems were they having, nothing serious ?
I just get a little worried when i hand over the hard earned for someone to "mind" if you know what im saying, looks like there fine though .
Thanks dingo

If you are really in to investing you should have a few different accounts to take advantage of the services each company offer......i have used IAS in the past and found the service good with deposits and withdrawls my only problem is with thier site....seams the person doing the coding is a compleat twit....site runs slow at times and yes when the advertise close time is 1 minute before race start and they close 5 minutes early that can be a real pain...but i have to say have not used them for a few months now so maybe things have improved

thats something that ive learnt recently noticing differant odds in differant states, i intend to have unitab, nsw and ias, that should cover it for the best odds, for a newbie anyway.
One thing i like with IAS is that the odds change but the page doesnt "dissapear" for that time, it just changes,...whitemanmajic

gday dingo, i suspended my account as i always get a bit sleepless once a business i have money invested in or in this case deposited with is getting sued.
dont know how much i can say without getting this thread deleted, so just use google & search for " ias bank manager "

Hi Dingoboy,
There are sites which guarantee to pay best odds, so you don't need three different accounts to get the best tote price. But you should have a few different accounts to take advantage of each bookie's selling point. eg the advantage that IAS offers is that they will sometimes pay more than the best tote, as well as for exotics. However they often pay less than the best tote.

I see nobody has given Betfair a mention. Should consider Dingo.

Thanks all,
I noticed yesterday watching IAS that often they would pay less on the win, and yes the tris and other exotics were mostly larger, i only bet for win though unfortunatally, i thought they guaranteed to pay higher than two tabs, must be overall.?
Thanks top rank, isnt betfair overseas though, i heard they were trying to get licenced in Tazzie, i dont know the legal implications if they are overseas, as i said,....im new to all this.
Thanks heaps

You still can, as many do, even regular contributors to this forum, bet with them on the internet.
Even if you don't use them I always find it interesting to monitor what is going on with Betfair: ie: prices and the like.

dingo boy, joining betfair is as easy as joining IAS or any other bookie site. 99.9% of the time you will get better odds than any other site offers. And if you are reasonably accurate at predicting which way the market will move, you can back and lay the same horse at a guaranteed profit. No other site I know of will do that. I havent taken any money out yet but others who use them say that they dont have any probs. I dont think they will go under any time soon.

Have you thought about Sportingbet which is best of 3 TABs +5%
Bets can be layed right on actual time of jump.
They are a UK mob, registered in the Northern Territory.
Possible one of the largest agencies in the world.
Cheers.

You're out of date I'm afraid Bhagwan, sportingbet now only match the best tote, and that only on metro meetings.

True but you still get equal to best tote,IAS gave this away a long time ago(Divvy +) so I withdrew,am now with Sporting bet,try that one dingoboy.Actually, one day I put a bet on ,confirmed it and didn't finalise it.My fault,I rang them, not knowing what had happened and they paid me the winning bet when I emailed my on screen transaction. Was only $60 but they didn't have to do it.Cheers.

That is a nice thing to hear, looking after their customers !
Ive had another look at their site today, i think it may take a little getting used to, i might open an account and just put in a few dollars to play with, you know, just to get used to its ways, be it slow, be it differant then if i miss an important bet it wont matter that much. The only thing i rate about the NSW tab is that five minutes up the road is my local, easy for withdrawing funds if you need to, much like a ATM, but the misses doesnt see it !
Thanks
