Haven't posted much, so here are my results so far with the footy:
S12: 21-19
NRL: 21-19
AFL: 12-16.5 (one loss was half a unit)
So 54-54.5 all up for a loss of a couple of units. Had a 10-4 weekend only to have a 3-11 weekend follow it (week before last). Ouch. Plenty of season left though to get back to being comfortably ahead.
Anyone else had a weird year so far? It's like they've flipped the script in the NRL. 5 of the 7 bottom teams last year are in the top 9 this year, with manly up the top!!!! Now we've got penrith, roosters and bulldogs in 10th-12th!!!! Those 3 teams have probally done the most damage to me so far.
AFL has had some weird results but not like the NRL.
S12 hasn't been surprising. Highlanders and stormers might be the surprising teams, and maybe the hurricanes might be a bit of a surprise thanks to last years results. Hurricanes aren't surprising though. Always a potentially dangerous team (always have a strong backline).
NSW aren't in there yet, although it's gonna take a damn good effort by the kiwi teams. NSW backline just isn't showing that flash they had early on in the season. Rogers needs to step up and be the playmaker and put those outside backs into the gap. Why is rogers at fullback, you need him as an inside back. He's a playmaker, so put him where he can create the plays. Let him open up those holes for the outside backs. Move hewat to fullback. And let hewat do the goalkicking.
