Following on from a previous posting about finding guaranteed winners before you bet on them, I've narrowed down the characteristics to look for tomorrow in the Stradbroke.

1. It will have four legs.
2. It will eat lots of hay.
3. It will past the post first.

If that doesn't help, box 1,2,3, and 4. They are the best horses and will at least give you a show for your money.

And so I can boast on Monday about how good I am at pickng horses.......Lord Essex is the stand out.

Racenet barrier trends for EAGLE FARM
Statistics from August 1, 1996.
1400m
1=10%; 2=9%; 3=8%; 4=9%; 5=9%; 6=6%; 7=8%; 9=11%; 10=8%; 11=9%; 12=6%; 13=3%; 14=6%; 15=10%; 16=6%; 17=4%; 18=0%; 19=0%; 20=0%

Just look at number 13!!!

I suggest that astrology and numerology could also help for the day, and would appreciate any addresses of genuine psychics.

I have an old dartboard for sale, but cannot guarantee it's results, even though it served me well. Sometimes.

I hear that when Eaglefarm has wind from the West, favourites win, and a Northerly indicate real outsiders! Tornados indicate no winners.

LOL!!!

Important update.

My wife reliably informs me that the following trifecta bet will win. The crucial analysis technique (name, colour, "owner's name sounds nice") has been perfected over the last season and is now starting to show results. Ignore this post at your peril.

Hindsight, hindsight, hindsight. Please someone tell me they got the trifecta in the Straddie. I can't believe I left Brian York out of my calculations.

And what happened to Lord Essex? I think the only horse he managed to beat home was Pernod.

Not this one chief. I'm downright dirty on myself. These opportunities come around maybe four times a year and my economy did me in. County Tyrone was a good selection by you though!

Good luck tomorrow.

The melb cup trifecta was easier to pick.
Paid more as well.

i jmissed a trifecta by a bee's dick a few months ago that paid $80,000. Talk about pissed off!

Okay chief, you've made me feel less miserable now. Thanks!

Personally I didn't rate Give the slip last year. Had Persian Punch and Marienbaard as my foreign influence (outside of Australasia that is).

Sir Breakfast is an interesting tip from you today. I'm not sure, but it's a tough race.

Happy wagering.
