Good on you.
Wish I had of bet that meeting.
Great idea bracketing the top 4 in brackets of 2 with more on the highest priced.
Cheers.

Could you please explain the bracketing of the top 4 in 2's as Darky has stated. I am a little thick here in NZ....

Gday Eroyd...
what we mean is that you treat the top 4 horses as couples .. ie 1 & 2 are a couple and 3 and 4 are another couple... (that is the 1st and 2nd rated horse and the 3rd and 4th rated horses) We then put 1 unit on the shortest priced horse of EACH couple and 2 Units on the longer priced of each couple.. We are obviously looking for long priced winners, and trying t o save on the shorties... It has worked pretty well since darky first mentioned it, but is dependant on the long shots coming in to make a nice profit..
As en example I will use a race from yesterday (obviously I am going choose a winning race :) )
GOSFORD
RACE 8
4 Becks 100
8 Honourable Impact 78
2 Subreilly 77
1 Sky Fury 67
3 Tactical Toy 54
In this example we bracket Becks and Honourable Impact.. Becks was the $2.50 fav and Honourable impact was $65 ... We place 1 unit on becks and 2 on the other..... Next we bracket Sky Fury and Subrielly.. Sky fury was the shortest so we place 1 unit on it and 2 on Subrielly..
Subrielly won the race and paid $14.90.. that means we outlayed 6 Units on that race and returned 29.8 units
I hope that kinda clears up what we mean
