Well, what happened with that Queanbeyan race? They weren't on our TAB up here.

Gday Sportz
Tabcorp has decide that every saturday from now on one of our country meetings will be afforded TAB status.. Queanbeyan was the first such meeting.. Next week I think it will be Tamworth.. I think u guys up there have either Darwin or the Alice on your TAB of a Saturday?
As for our Race... 1 runner was scratched one was unplaced and the other ran 2nd at $2.10

Yeah, that's right. We have the NT races up here. I assume that decision is to cover the loss of meetings to TVN though. I noticed Queanbeyan races were on at basically the same time as the Melbourne races.
I still can't get over what happened on Saturday. I was watching Sky for a while there and you would have thought that the Sydney, Melbourne and Moe meetings didn't even exist. There was simply no mention of them. I don't normally watch the races (usually just listen to the radio), but I reckon this whole thing is a shambles and is going to cost the racing industry money. Ridiculous.

Gday Sportz,
I agree with ya about the TV stuff... BUT I gotta say I loved the coverage we got on the home service yesterday from Sky... ALL the races from Country NSW, QLD SA And TAS... as I have said for a long time, you get pa;id the same for a country winner as you do for a city winner and they are usually easier to find..
With the coverage yesterday it was the same that you get in the clubs and pubs, which IMHO, for the punter was way superior to what we used to get on the home service... Sydney and Victorian racing? Who needs to see em, jut listen and pretend you have time travelled back to the '70's :)
I will tell you one thing that you probably wont see much on SKY anymore is those annoying splitscreens when 2 races go at the same time.. Victorian race clubs did not give a rats about what was going on in other parts of the country they just jumped when they were timed to or when they were ready, bugger everyone else... most other states and the other codes at least had the courtesy to wait for a race to finsih before jumping... but not the vics.. I for one will not miss clashes...
