Two things have happened recently to make me hope channel 9 loses its AFL coverage
I think it was about a month-5 weeks ago,and I thought I'll wait up and watch the Fri night game between Geelong and Carlton. They advertised it to start at 11:15pm.So I put the tv on at 11:15 and I get the late news. They say sport after the break ,so I turn it off for 10 mins so I dont accidentally find out the score.I come back in the room and they've got finance on.After the break we have the weather. You'd think you would be fairly safe. They do the weather.Great now the game comes on.BUT WHATS THIS,THE FINAL CREDITS ARE SHOWING A GEELONG GOAL FROM THE SIDELINE,THE SCORE 124-66 IN THE RIGHT CORNER,THEN GEELONG SINGING THEIR CLUB SONG
Now I know you are all probably shaking your heads in wonder.Half the tv audience went to bed then and there.
SECOND THING
I tape the AFL footy show on thursday nights and watch it friday morning usually. Its advertised for 11:30 but is always late so set the timer for about 20-30 mins later and let it run for 2-2 and half hours.YOU THINK YOU WOULD BE PRETTY SAFE.Last night I tape it this morning I wake early put on the tape get 15 minutes of Nightline late news and 1 hour of David letterman
The footy show finally comes on halfway thru the tape the tape cuts out and I get half a show.
Thoroughly pissed off

Russell Crowe was on Letterman. That's why they changed it.

It was different up here. They had the AFL Footy show on first.

Don't know. I never watch the Friday night AFL game. I listen to it live on the radio and I don't have any real interest in watching it if I already know the result. Same with the League. I'll occasionally try to avoid the NRL score so I can watch it not knowing the result, but with the AFL, it's delayed by about 4 hours and I'm not going to wait that long.

I live in Mackay and we get Win TV. They stuck to their regular schedule last night.
