Interesting to hear Wayne Hawkes' comments on Melbourne radio this morning saying his dad regards his Melbourne operation as home and rates winning a race there much more satisfying than anywhere else in Australia (of course not including the big races elsewhere) but i am hardly surprised, as i am fortunate enough to travel there quite often to attend races and simply put (in my opinion)it is the greatest racing state in the nation
