Perhaps if we have any comments, questions, digressions, etc, we could put them in this thread.

What would be the chances of a similar thread extolling the virtues of different gambling sites getting past the administration?
If we kept it factual it could be very useful. I'm looking for a good site to bet exotics at the moment so a good thread to look up where I might get best div quinellas and exactas (for e.g.) would be great.

If you have 2 horses boxed for quinella 1 unit it is $1. If you have 2 horses boxed for exacta 1 unit it costs $2. Therefore if the exacta isnt more than double the quinella you would be better off having 2 units on quinella rather than 1 unit on exacta. Results favour quinella.

Like I said on the other thread, it depends which horse comes first and which comes second. Sometimes it doesn't even depend on that.

Take Bendigo 4/6/5 Race 7

Exacta div on 5 & 7 was showing 33.60, Exacta div on 7 & 5 was showing 40.50.
Quinella div on 5 and 7 was showing $12.80

Usually I take an exacta and a quinella but because the Quinella div was so poor I took the regular exacta and a boxed exacta in place of the quinella. This is not a unique example, just one race where the exacta was paying better than the quinella.
The exacta came up on 5 & 7 and payed 43.30 and the quinella only paid 12.80. I'd still have done better even if it came up the other way round.

Some days the two horses you fancy may pay better on the quinella which ever way they pass the post. It just depends who's betting on what on the day, I don't think either are particularly better than the other all the time.

N.B. I expect you're aware there are historic exacta and quinella divvies for races on www.tabracing.com.au They make for interesting comparisons.
