System Tester

Could someone help me please.

Sometimes when I try to log onto the website I get the message 'Connection refused'. If I do get access to the site, put in data and click on Test a System Now I get the message:

'Could not connect: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 113'

Am I doing something wrong or is the site down?

Cheers,
Bernie

bernie,

The host is playing up (cheap price = crappy hosting). I logged on and suddenly the Database isn't there at all. I suspect they have lost a server or something. This has happened before and it eventually recovers (sometimes it takes 24 hours).

Thanks UselessBettor. Much appreciated.

Cheers,
Bernie

Hey UB,

Couple of quick question with your site.
What time period are your results over? Every meeting, or Metro only?
Also, with the barrier draws data entry field, are these before or after scratchings?

Liking the site and have come up with a few interesting systems so far that are very simple.

Its every Australian meeting from early August 2011 (6th or 8th from memory).
Barrier draws are before scratchings.

Im glad you enjoy it ... I also use it for research so glad it can help out a few people.

Thanks UB.

Have to say I'm very impressed with it.
I am a Bet Selector user, but TBH, the one thing that really annoys me with it is the lack of BF price data, and also no UniTAB ratings on it. For me, I mainly look to create lay systems from databases, so the more 'publicly' available info makes my job all the easier, and the bonus of BF prices is magic as well.

Are the BF prices used the last traded price?

They are the prices available 10 secs before jump as recorded by my program. The results given are always the worst result (and are only included if the market is 95%/105%). So if you are testing a laying system it would use the higher betfair price (pink/yellow side) and if your testing a betting system it would use the lower betfair price(blue side).

Another quick question. Is there a way to get the page to remember the rules I just put in? If I click test, it shows the resuls, but then if I go back, the rules I put in are cleared. Would it be one of the options in my internet settings to possibly get it remembering what my inputs were? Makes it a bit easier for fine tuning.

I need to do some coding and its been on my todo list for a few weeks now. I'll try and get it fixed up soon. Its a fair bit of work to get it to remember.
