Nope not each way.

You have choices depending on the prices and the strike rate, you need to look at results and see what they are getting for winners and strike rate of each selection before you can decide.

Ok - Points Noted

So possible Top 4 Plan (allocated Units)

Top Rated 3 Win
2nd Rated 2 Win

3rd Rated 1 Win 1 EW if + 10.00
4th Rated 1 Win 1 EW if + 10.00

Or more on the place, for that matter

What sort of strike rate and and winning prices are you getting for each selection?

I am not an e x p e r t at all on this but I would be asking a few questions:

1. Does the top 4 produce a profit backing each selection ?
2. Do they make a profit at a certain odds range ?
3. Do they make a profit if you dutch them ?

Personally I would try the following but its only a guess.

I would only bet the races where I could dutch bet the top 4 selections to return at least a 100% profit.

To do this you can do the following. Divide 100 by the odds-1 of each selection. If the sum of these is less then 50 then you can bet the race.

For example

Top rated : $10
2nd top rated $10
3rd Top Rated : $10
4th top rated : $10

This would be 100/(10-1) + 100/(10-1) + 100/(10-1) + 100/(10-1) = $44.44

This could be a bet.

Of course with 4 top rated selections it will be hard to get at least a 100% return. Maybe you could aim for 150% return instead. In that case the total needs to be less then 66.

You may even find it better to dutch the top 2 or top 3. You need to work this out based on your strike rates.

BTW Why can't I write e x p e r t without spaces on this forum ?

Thanks UB , seems plausable that strategy.

Shaun - I seem to get a high strike rate within Top 4, think I will Filter out Selected Races to sharpen the strike rate. -

No Maidens
No 2YO
No 3YO
No 1000m
No +1600m

So Allowable Races would be

3YO+
1100m to 1600m

As to Prices they are averaging I have not worked on that as yet.
