I don't have figures for this but would like to know if this is ok to work with

1) Must be the unitab top selection not the hundred rater but the ones at the top left
2) Must have won last start and been placed in either of the 2 starts before that...example form line 4351 or 4531
3) Must have a C or D in its form
4) must have had atleast 3 runs from a spell

we are only concerned with it running a place

Does that mean ruling out those that placed at BOTH of the two previous starts???

no thats fine if they ran like this 0321 or 0x321

oh forgot to add...i would limit it to fields of 8 to 12 runners

Shaun, this smacks a bit of the old hot pots system, although there were a few more rules as I remember, and most importantly it was betting to WIN only,I did in 2 banks of $2000 each backing level stakes. Just a constant small loss on T/O. The initial selection though was Pre Post Favourite, and best results came fvrom thr racing radio prices.
I'm not knocking the idea totally, I always thought that it had potential especially for the place. I did some restospective research afterwards and found a profit if the bets were restricted to Saturdays, Wednesdays AND DUEL winners i.e. only bet if the contender had won its last 2 races.

Close to a system i've been using for awhile.

Add up the totals of thier past 4 placings
eg. 2x11 tiakun would be 4
x for spells are ok but they have to have a minum of 3 starts
the total has to be 9 or under
and they have to have a Zip rating of 56 or more if there are more than one qualifier in a race go the highest Zip rater.

Today at Caulfield qualifiers were

Lad of the manor (3rd)
Emloza (1st)
Tiakun (UNP)
fast net rock (unp)
Starcraft (3rd)
Regal roller (1st)
solar Antiquity (1st)

in sydney
Stromberg carlson (unp)
Kiawah (2nd)
Rich Megadale (1st)
Red oog (1st)
Capri (unp)
Pyreneese princess (unp)

in Brissie
our sweet moss (unp)
Kengrande (3rd)
Huddle (UNP)

total 16
5 winners
3 placings
8 unplaced

Has a good strikerate but does tend to give you the favourites although Emloza was good value and kiawah for the place was handy.

partypooper...yes you are right...most of it comes from that system....just wondering how it would work using racing radio selection with a few different rules...but the main rule is the laststart winner with a placing in the at least one of the 2 before that

Heres a system that pulls plenty of place getters using the Rado TAB selections.

1)Target the Radio TABQ 1st selection.
2)Must be paying $3.20+ for the win at jump time & bet for the place. This is done so that we can strike those $1.60+ payers, the win price often replects what the place price will end up being .
Dont try & look at the place div before start because it jumps all over the place.
3)Field of 8-12
4)Must have had at least 2 career starts.

This has a great SR.
Check it out.

That seems far too simple Bhagwan.

If it really has a good strike rate, the simpler the better, IMO.

Just looked at yesterday for Bris, Syd, Melb and Adel. Adel 6-9 was resuming from a spell, and if you delete that one, you have 10 placings from 13 bets.

B1-1 $1.60
B2-5 $1.50
B4-8 -
S3-4 $1.50
S4-3 $1.50
S5-2 $1.50
S7-2 $1.60
M2-1 $1.80
M5-3 -
M8-1 $1.60
A4-2 -
A6-9 -
A7-1 $1.70
A8-6 $1.70

It's certainly something to look at.
