Very nice place divi for FERROUS Brian!

Not seen many as short as CULLOMBO Brian (NSWTab $1.00 win / $1.10 place) But a winner is a winner!

Sportz 9th March 2005 08:29 PM

It dead heated Paddy. That's why it only paid a dollar for the win. :)

Dumb Paddy!! Thanks Sportz :)

The grey matter's not what it used to be.

Hard to believe my great uncle was a famous inventor!?

You can scoff, you can laugh! But if it wasn't for my great uncle, you wouldn't have these today:

Pedal powered wheelchairs......(g'day to any wheelies out there...no offence intended)

Waterproof teabags.

Underwater hair dryers.

Windscreen wipers for submarines.

Non-stick sticky tape.

Inflatable dartboards for campers.

An index for a dictionary.

Beer glasses with square bases so they don’t leave rings on the bar.

Ejector seats in helicopters.

Underground airports.

Wind-down windows on submarines.

Boomerang bullets.

Air-conditioners for motorbikes.

Anti-lock cars.

Ashtrays for a motorbikes.

Waterproof sponges.

Fireproof Matches.

Parachutes that open on impact......and

The one-piece jigsaw puzzle. :)

maverick1993 11th March 2005 10:34 PM

Had my first serious bet tonight on the trotts...
Elsu !! after watching his last run this morning on Sky i couldnt put enough on him..this horse is a freak ..i know he was short but he looks like the Shwarzanegger of the harness world..he went past Just an excuse like he wasnt there..and just an excuse's last race was good..

starting to like the trots :)

Sportz 11th March 2005 10:58 PM

Yeah, I backed a couple of horses to win the interdominion about a month ago. The odds I got then are looking pretty good right now, but I guess anything can happen. Here's hoping. :o

Track Ratings

Hi Brian,

The track ratings in Sydney Harness Racing are as follows

City.

Class1/2/3 -- Harold Park --- Friday

Class 4/ 5 -- Harold Park --- Tuesday ( Normal meeting grades )

Provincial .

Level 1 --- Newcastle Saturday Nights
Level 2 --- Penrith Thursday Nights
Level 3 --- Bankstown Monday Afternoon.

Bankstown on Moday are very average, a lot of them wouldn't win at Gold Coast or provincial melb at their best.

You occassionally get a good horse going there for a first up fresh run, but thats all you would see of class runners normally at Bankstown and same for Penrith.

Regards

Jaffa 39

a4brianp 14th March 2005 12:57 PM

Thanks John that puts that horse right in this up to Newcastle standard not quite city class.

Interdominion thoughts

Have just posted my thoughts on the inter on insiderail for those interested.

www.insiderail.com/

Sportz 18th March 2005 09:32 PM

I didn't see or hear the interdominion tonight. Was it a dominant performance by Elsu??? I'm feeling pretty good because I backed Elsu at $2.75 after it won the Hunter Cup 5 weeks ago. :)
