Most disappointing to see just 4 starters for this race. No bet race IMO. From the inside draw expect (1) BIG JOKER to just edge out (4) FLEUR ROYALE with (2) CHURCHILL DOWNS not far behind in 3rd spot with (4) SIRMIONE running 4th.

TATTERSALL'S CLUB CUP

Although only having 2nd start post 10 months break expecting (1) VANQUISHED to be just a little too strong for (3) SEUL AMOUR . (2) SAM SUNG A SONG also hard to beat if he can handle the 2000. The Gai Waterhouse trained (8) LAKE SUSANNAH having her first start over the journey could beat them all if allowed an easy run in front. (6) GILDED YOUTH some chance at odds worked home well at second attempt 2000 last start.

(8) FLYING PEGASUS is my top selection. Showed heaps of ability as a 2YO and has won two lead-up trials into this race. (10) CAPTAIN BAX had no luck last start when narrowly beaten by (1) PRESENTLY who is my 3rd pick. The Gai Waterhouse trained (7) FUMBLE boasts a great 2nd-up record of 3-2-0-1 and won’t be far away. Value inclusion the former Hong Kong sprinter (12) MAJESTIC FEELING who came from last to get within 0.9len of Presently at his last start.

The lightly raced (3) EXPUNGE is my top selection. Top effort 2 starts back at WFA when beaten by Roman Arch and Grey Song over 2400. The Lee Freedman trained (4) TOMMIFRANCS very hard to beat assuming he can handle the step up in distance. The lightly raced (8) SENTIRE next best from (12) GENEBEL and (1) DIAMOND JAKE. Also include (multiples) (9) SOUTHERN CROWN who has a great record this track and distance.

(2) SPORTSMAN has a good first-up record and from barrier 7 will race handy. (10) AMEX back in form goes very well this track. (6) MITANNI has to overcome a very wide draw but had no luck last start behind Amex and also loves this track. Can’t leave out (3) DEVIL despite a couple of poor recent runs. Excels this track and distance. And for value include (11) GRANDWAY SHOGUN who’s only win this track was 2nd-up as per today.

Colonel Mustard (R8) stablemate of Escape. On paper a shade disappointing at WA (Ascot) debut but drops in class today.

Also a watch on King Kade (R7) who drops in grade following two runs in WA (Pinjarra) after a spell. Suited the step up in distance and has blinkers added today.

Index Case backed into favouritism but unplaced. Where there's smoke there's fire (so they say) - follow.

Escape also unplaced. Drifted in betting. Also worth following.

King Kade was most impressive in winning :) $13.40 unitab. More wins in store;)

Colonel Mustard unplaced but another drifter. Watch.

Hi DCFC! Saw King Kade's race, agree very impressive. The addition of blinkers certainly did the trick! Cheers ;)
