Probably cause it'll be the first one back to the barn as it's scratched hahaha.

I'll have to look for a sub now.

Edit:

I'm going for some vaue in Monaco Star. Last start maiden winner, defeated two horses in this field. The horse form says (Ayefel) "Should give good account" (Seafaring Lad) "Not without claims on last run", that sounds promising when Monaco Star actually beat them both. Hope the form guide stands up.

A couple of interesting gallopers lining up in the last trial heat at Belmont today – This’Ll Be The Day and Tantra Dancer.

Former eastern states gelding This’Ll Be The Day has raced 10 times in WA for 3 wins 3 places. Has a pretty good win strike rate of 7 wins from 29 starts. Last raced July 05.

Versatile mare Tantra Dancer hasn’t raced since early September 05 and boasts an extremely good strike rate of 5x1st 6x2nd 2x3rd 2x4th from just 16 starts.

Tantra Dancer won her heat best time of day and understand not fully extended. This’Ll Be The Day didn't get warm same heat and finished well back.

Anyone know where is the best place to find the Australia Day form for Ascot on Thursday week? I assume TABForm Wednesday edition, but I'm not sure if it'll have Thursdays races in it.

Thanks SunsetCoast ;)
Just looking at the trial results on the WATURF website and This’Ll Be The Day was beaten 7.5lens  thought he would have performed better than that! Looking at the other trial a few maidens looked to have performed well on paper and might be worth watching next couple starts. Stormy Harbour, Oceanic Storm and Lady Thunderbolt. All have reasonable previous race form, Lady Thunderbolt trialled with the addition of blinkers.

I normally use the form published on the WATURF CLUB website AdrianLee ;) You can also get other state form from various websites for the gallops, trotters and doggies so hardly ever use the TABForm anymore.

You can easily access WA horse race form from the time first nominations are published. Final field racebook style formguide (PDF) is normally downloadable / viewable a couple of days before raceday.

Collins Street desperately unlucky in the cup, held up a couple of times over the last 600 behind tiring runners. Outside the run of the gutsy Tapdog, was the run of the race to flood at end to finish 4th!

westman 17th January 2006 05:10 PM

Apparently Alana Sansom was very upset and extremely disappointed after the Cup!

I’m tipping her to have a change of luck on Paris Raider in the main sprint at Mt. Barker tomorrow ;)

Looked to me that the jock was trying to get a break on the others when he took off. I think the extra fast pace early and (agree) lack of race fitness made the difference in the end. Still a great effort in defeat as you've stated.

The sprint at Barker looks pretty competitive westman - in addition to Paris Raider (which I like as well) you've got (just to name a few) Great Beau showing form again, Zoloto who normally goes well fresh, recent multiple city winner Hes Smokin and the underrated Truck Talk. Should be a goodie!!

It’s been reported believe or not that True Steel will head east after the upcoming Pinjarra and Bunbury Cups to take up jumps career.

The winner of the 2003 Group 1 Fruit N Veg has impressed all and sundry in recent jump trials and connections believe he’s a natural jumper.

Victoria trainer Robbie Laing will look after True Steel throughout his new jumps career.
